This was a lie by the government:
“The Communities Department, which Rayner leads, also said it had deleted all responses to the working group’s consultation — responses that were vital to drafting the definition.”
They knew all along, they just do not want us to know. 👇
In Downing Street yesterday, Andy Burnham and Angela Rayner met Muslim community leaders around the Cabinet table.
The Prime Minister used the opportunity to take a cheap pot-shot at his political rivals, accusing them of using “unacceptable language” about Islam.
This isn’t the first time Labour politicians have accused their rivals of being “Islamophobic” or sought to police speech about Islam.
Another revelation from the meeting is that Angela Rayner is reportedly set to announce the appointment of an “anti-Muslim hostility” tsar this week.
Rayner appointed five people to a working group tasked with drafting the definition. All had troubling links to Islamist organisations, including the Muslim Council of Britain and MEND.
The Communities Department, which Rayner leads, also said it had deleted all responses to the working group’s consultation — responses that were vital to drafting the definition.
After pressure from Nick Timothy and the threat of legal action from the Free Speech Union, the ministry announced that it did have the responses after all, but would not show them to us.
This has only fuelled speculation that the Government allowed extremists to influence what is now Britain’s de facto Islamic blasphemy law.
Who on earth is she going to appoint as the new Islamophobia tsar?

Richard E Grant should’ve could’ve bluffed that out.
“I am Spartacus” was a good line if he had stuck with it.

They hate us.
They want businesses to pay tax on money *they have not yet earnt*…
How do seasonal businesses do this?
In Lincs the two biggest sectors are tourism and agriculture.
Both seasonal.
For both income is very focused around certain times.
The idea an arable farmer, a seaside hotel, attraction or holiday park has 1/4 of its annual income by April is laughably ignorant.
Except it’s a deadly serious threat to the businesses’ survival.
This government hates business.
The new changes to drag forward income tax charges mean that many if not most people will be paying income tax on money they haven't earned yet.
Very few business have 1/12 of their profit available to distribute in April. Even if it's quarterly, how many businesses have 1/4 of their annual profit in the bank by the end of June?
If the Treasury knew anything about seasonality or billing cycles, they'd never have proposed this change.
Brilliant headline. 👏👏👏👏
The Sun may have lost Page 3 but its headline writers remain the best in the business.

I’ve not always been bowled over by the Leader of the Opposition, but @KemiBadenoch’s response to the Budget and her focus on the importance of national security was astonishingly good.
Her best performance by far on the most serious issue, defence of the realm.

Have to say, solid line from Kemi Badenoch to Lucy Powell heckle - "Has the education secretary got something to add? Can she add?"
A budget of jam tomorrow and extending Brexit benefits.
From a government that “won’t call a general election” and wants to rejoin the European Union…..
Quite extraordinary.
