Watching Gen Z men veer right hits different for Millennials. We lived through Columbine, 9/11, the Iraq War, 2008 crash, 2016 election, covid, abortion bans, & now this. We watched institutions repeatedly fail us while older generations selfishly protected the status quo. 🧵1/

So many HM on this list (particularly happy to see Dave Graney & The Coral Snakes - though I’d have picked I’m Gonna Release Your Soul)
Voting is open in the #WarrenBenjaminMarslandMedal.

In almost every election, Republicans appear to take an early lead. It's called the Red Mirage.
Then that lead gets smaller throughout the night. That's called the Blue Shift.
This is why Trump prematurely declared victory in 2020.
Be prepared for him to do it again.

If anyone out there has even a dollar to help good kind people who could use something good to go their way (and frankly they deserve something good to happen for them), please help my friend @HoMArtworks. (1/2)

RIP Quincy Jones, who defined the highest level of musical genius for 5 generations. Perhaps the greatest producer & soundtrack composer of all-time. The most quotable, the coolest, who made everything from Thriller to Vibe to the Fresh Prince. Who did it all, better than anyone.

God speed Teri Garr. Her mere presence in any film just made everything better.
An absolute brilliant wit made her one of the greatest comedic actors.

So very sorry to hear about Teri Garr’s passing. She was so talented and so funny. Her humor and lively spirit made the YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN set a pleasure to work on. Her “German” accent had us all in stitches! She will be greatly missed.

Jeri Taylor was the second woman showrunner of a Star Trek show (after the amazing DC Fontana) & her influence is immeasurable. We would not have Captain Janeway or many of the amazing women leaders of Trek if she hadn't fought for our voice behind the scenes & on camera.
A sad farewell to #StarTrek #Voyager co-creator JERI TAYLOR, who passed away yesterday (as shared by @MikeOkuda).
Taylor rose through the ranks during her time at TNG before taking the helm on VOYAGER, serving as showrunner for the first several seasons of the Janeway-led series.

The world of Star Trek lost one of its giants yesterday with the passing of writer-producer Jeri Taylor. Jeri became a supervising producer on Star Trek: TNG’s fourth season, eventually becoming co-executive producer.
