Don't get wrapped up in the doom and gloom put out there. A lockout is a pressure tactic, used before. Of course they aren't going to agree to anything before implementing it. I know how these negotiations work from the inside. Both sides want/need baseball played in 2027!
MLB commissioner Rob Manfred and union head Bruce Meyer on Friday both made it seem virtually impossible that the sides could reach a status-quo extension of the current CBA to avoid the upcoming lockout. The idea hasn't even been discussed, Meyer said.
