We are shocked & disgusted by the reports of mass sexual harassment at Gargi college. That men from allegedly from a Right wing rally barged into a college premises & harassed girls while security details watched on is horrifying! #Gargi

It is also disgusting is the college admins attempts to pass the blame on to the victims. We condemn both the act & the administration's attitude & demand the immediate arrest of the perpetrators & action against the administration.

We welcome the upholding of the death penalty of 3 out of 4 of the accused in the Nirbhaya case. However we feel it pertinent to point out once again that it is the surety of punishment & not it's severity that will ensure safety against sexual violence. 1/4

It's an uphill task for women, battling a society who victim blames & apathetic cops to get cases filed for street harassment, stalking & other forms of sexual harassment. Ensuring all sexual harassment is punished as a matter of practice is where we believe the battle is 4/4
