After finishing Final Fantasy Resonance I now know what all those book readers feel whenever directors change stories for movies or tv shows.
Instead of what usually happens with game to movies/tv where they change damn near everything on purpose to not be like the games.
Finished FF Resonance, 9.7 / 10, great music, story*, graphics, gameplay.
- As an FFBE enjoyer, I didn't like the ending "change", but it's fine standalone.
- They didn't need to spoil Visions in the menu before you can get them.
- The skip not fully skipping animations is lame.
Coincidentally I've been troubleshooting my PC for whatever errors and slow startup it had and at least one of them had to do with Fast Startup.
I disabled it and solved most of them, but eventually was able to turn it back on fine so it was faster. I have an HDD though.

Windows Fast Startup adds small sequential writes to hiberfil.sys per shutdown but this is a negligible fraction of typical SSD endurance (e.g. 600 TBW) and not a primary wear factor.

My one piece of advice for anyone starting Final Fantasy Resonance is to max out Firion on EVERY single party member you plan to use.
His maxed mastery skill is busted for obvious reasons which you can COMBINE with other multi-use skills.
Luckily beat my first attempt at the FFXIV typing game but someone else actually scored higher than me, and even then my score was not very good compared to what I saw on here.
I did get locked out by the eye mechanic once, but I really didn't know what to expect overall.
I used to think I was pretty decent at typing until I learned about the people having 120-150 wpm.
Now we have a game for it in FFXIV and already I see the complaints about people afking. Once again wishing another thing in an MMO was solo.😅
I'll see how good I do later.

I don't know if the "back walk" bug fix is what addressed it or if it was a different reason but there was no other mention in the patch notes.
I just remember it is a thing at a certain spacing with some strings/setups.
If there's one very minor complaint I could have about Resonance is that there doesn't seem to be enough Visions centered around support/healing to always have a new one after maxing others as you go along. Whereas there are a lot of "attackers" doing functionally similar things

It's not just "FF14" obviously, but my For You section showing a post with something I muted, then I curiously click the replies and then it hides it like intended???
