WORD OF THE DAY: STABILITY
Stability is not the absence of uncertainty, but the confidence to navigate it without losing our sense of purpose. It is the foundation upon which dreams are built, institutions endure and communities find the courage to imagine a better tomorrow.
In a world of constant change, stability demands consistency, discipline and the willingness to make difficult choices. We must never confuse stability with stagnation, for the strongest foundations are those that allow us to grow.
Stability is not about standing still, but creating the confidence to move forward without fear of falling apart.

Residents of Tshwane, as a final request as we all head to the polls tomorrow, If you would like to see me continue serving as the Executive Mayor of Tshwane, please vote for ActionSA.
Over the past 2-years, Tshwane has achieved several successes. We championed restoring the rule of law, financial stability and the normalisation of service delivery.

Throughout the Bronkhorstspruit water crisis, I have led the City’s response with two priorities: restoring safe drinking water and ensuring accountability for the failures that brought us here.
We have made significant progress in rehabilitating the treatment works, but restoring water cannot mean sweeping the failures that caused this crisis under the rug.
That is why I have insisted on a broader, independent forensic investigation into the entire chain of responsibility, including procurement, operational management and administrative oversight.
Where negligence or misconduct is established, consequences must follow.
The residents of Tshwane deserve both safe drinking water and a municipality that takes accountability seriously.

WORD OF THE DAY: TEMPERANCE
Temperance is the wisdom to balance ambition with patience, courage with caution, and progress with stability. It is not about limiting our dreams or surrendering our aspirations, but recognising that the pursuit of success must never destroy the very foundations upon which our hopes are built.
In leadership, relationships and everyday life, temperance reminds us that not every battle requires a fight, not every opportunity demands immediate action, and not every victory is worth the price we may have to pay. It calls upon us to exercise sound judgement, manage our emotions and recognise that lasting progress is built through thoughtful choices rather than impulsive reactions.
True strength lies not only in knowing when to push forward, but also in understanding when to slow down, listen and allow wisdom to prevail over impulse. May our ambitions remain bold, our faith unrattled and our optimism unwavering, even when the journey demands patience.
Remember, the measure of wisdom is not how far we can go, but how far we can go without losing ourselves, our values or those who journey alongside us.

Memento Mori
The Illusion of Tomorrow
James 4:14 (NKJV) “For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.”
Tomorrow is a promise you keep making to yourself, even though you have no authority to guarantee it. You assume there will be time to change, to forgive, to begin again or to become the person you know you should be. Yet James reminds you how fragile and brief your existence is. The danger is not in planning for tomorrow, but in treating it as though it belongs to you. Every time you postpone what conscience and conviction require of you today, you gamble with something you do not own: the future. Purposeful living begins when you stop confusing the possibility of tomorrow with the certainty of having it.
What are you postponing because you believe you will always have another chance?

While public accolades will never be the measure of faithfulness, there are moments in life that God may work through such accolades to nod at his servants with pleasure—whether small or large, private or public.
To have come from the streets of Queens, NY with no hope for a future to being honored by @youversion in New York at Time Square was a deeply humbling full-circle moment too profound to fully articulate here.
For now, this truth remains——One never knows what God will do with a fully surrendered life.
Thank you @youversion for this memorable night of honor. Grateful beyond words.
