Last time Im gonna post about this,
I've got some pretty angry people on twitter calling me names, telling me I should "Shut the fuck up and pick up a pencil" and other hostile things. I never said AI is better than real art, all I said was using AI shouldn't be shamed as much xd
I said don't shame people for using AI art, but then again, using this as my latest thumbnail on youtube feels more personal
Still AI is a good tool for reference stuff and I still think shaming for it is insanely stupid

So the gatekeeping in World of Warcraft Forever is getting kind of crazy.
I posted a simple statement from the Game Director Ion on Forever. Keywords to look for are It is not Classic or Retail but its own game. "Forever is designed to be a third pillar alongside Retail and Classic"
I would say "the whole this is our game" has to stop. But of course it won't. Classic players say that this is "OUR" game it was meant for "US" not meant for you.
Yeah and Classic Era was meant for you. And the community pretty much left it in the dust to die following the coattails of the majority who went past 60 and moved forward. Several Classics after really. Most players had the choice to stay, but didn't. The Devs had the choice to add new content to Era but didn't. Why?
Because World of Warcraft Forever is meant to reach farther than just the Private Server Refugees and Classic players. They want players from all over. They want OSRS players. ESO Players. GW2 Players. FFXIV Players. And so on.
Gatekeep all you want. But they are coming. And they are coming in large waves like a fucking Tsunami. Into "YOUR" game. And they will have feedback. And you will see a lot of it all over every social, streams, YT, TikTok, everything.
Forever should stick to the foundation of the gameplay and gaming philosophy of Vanilla. While Making the game visually approachable for all audiences. With simple QoL and additions that hurt no one.
This isn't an "OUR" or "US" situation fam.
World of Warcraft Forever is for EVERYONE. And in 44 days you will see that. You won't be alone. All walks of life will be entering Forever.
And yes I woke up today and chose violence.

I am a Retail player, it will still be my main game, I am still gonna play Forever, oh and fuck you Classic Andys for being so hostile bcs we apparently "ruin everything we touch", well I just hope both sides of your pillows are lukewarm every night for the rest of time ❤️

If anything is going to "Kill" WoW Forever, it's the Classic Andys who drum up crusades under anyone's posts who have a thought that doesn't match their idea of an "Authentic" Classic experience.
There is a reason why it's named WoW Forever and not Classic+
If you think WoW Forever is WoW Classic 3 then you are so delusional it hurts my brain, this isn't #NoChanges Classic Era so stop treating it as such you Classic Era Andys go play your version if you want it so much but don't ruin this one by being dickheads thank you #WoWForever
I have to say this, WoW Forever is good, but I hate all the Classic people crying about Retail players wanting more QoL in it, this isn't no changes Era guys, let us get some QoL changes so it doesn't feel like another fresh classic reboot, if you want era go play on era (1/?)
version of Classic, because Era was just too grindy, and also with Retail it's just too much, Forever is the perfect place to bring in new people who then can try out either the original classic servers or retail and wouldn't feel out of place in either of them (3/4)
P.S. I use a model that was made by a real person, I use emotes thar were made by a real person, I use twitch panels that were made by a real person, look into stuff before you say I am a scumbag xd

Once again I have to clarify one thing
SUPPORT REAL ARTISTS!
I am not trying to justify replacing real hard working artists with AI, real artists deserve real recognition!
Why do we shame people for using AI art? Yes I know I should be paying real artists, but as someone who cannot afford real artists as I am currently, why should my creativity be hindered by my lack of artistry skills and lack of money?

I will never accept AI as a real art form for huge projects, I paid for my model for crying out loud, I wouldn't give any AI this job, I paid for my emotes that I use on my streams, I believe in real artists work and that they should be compensated for it 3/?
