Taxi related deaths are in double digits in Cape Town in a just days. Commuters are not safe. Non public transport users are not safe. Children in bishop lavis, Philippi and Hanover park to name a few are not safe. Gang violence is at its peak. l chaos is IN @Our_DA CAPE TOWN

You’re talking crap.
Coloured's in Cape Town Call Centres will always get better positions with only Grade 9 or 12. They always get employed with no any experience.

Deadly taxi violence is going unabated in Cape Town. Three taxi drivers were killed and four others wounded in attacks in Khayelitsha and Philippi East on Wednesday between 6pm and midnight. It came hours after the brazen attack at the Palm taxi rank in Delft in the morning where two men were shot and wounded and scores of commuters were forced to flee and take cover. It also came after several taxi-related shootings on Tuesday. Police spokesperson Colonel André Traut says the Provincial Taxi Unit is investigating these shootings. He adds that arrests have yet to be made. Calls have been made for the leaders of the taxi associations CATA and CODETA to immediately bring their members to order and put an end to the violence. Shooting incidents: - In Site B, Khayelitsha, a taxi driver was shot dead while driving in Japhta K Masemola Street. - A taxi driver was wounded in Govan Mbeki Road, Philippi East. - In Lower Crossroads, a taxi driver was shot in the face and body while driving. He was taken to a medical facility for treatment. - In Browns Farm, a 22-year-old taxi driver was killed at his residence in Buhlungu Street. - A taxi driver was killed and another man injured in an attack in Boston Road, Browns Farm. They were travelling in a minibus taxi. - On the corner of Govan Mbeki and Sheffield roads, a taxi driver was shot in the back. He was transported to a medical facility for treatment. -Radio 786

The growing use of AI-generated posters by government departments and other institutions will eventually come back to haunt them. By normalising AI-generated visuals in official communication, they are making it increasingly difficult for the public to distinguish genuine announcements from fabricated ones. People are already creating fake posters that look remarkably similar to official communications. The danger is that misinformation can now spread under the appearance of credibility

As a Capetonian, I can’t agree more. Mitchells Plain had green parks. It would be watered by sprinkler daily. Now, it looks arid. The WC was the top-performing province in terms of matric results before the DA took over the Education Dept in the province. Look now.
Look nhe I don’t like the ANC but the DA act like they built Cape Town, they fully took over in 2009. ANC’s Ibrahim Rasool was Premier, and NomaIndia Mfeketho was mayor, and Cape Town was just fine. All the DA does is lie.

Until the government puts its foot down and provides clear direction on taxi operating rights, we will always be here. The current violence can be traced back to Hermanus, where operators left one taxi association to join another about 10 months ago. We saw a similar dispute over the B97 route in 2021, where 83 people were killed. At the heart of this conflict are questions that government must answer: Who controls taxi operating permits - individual operators or associations? Are permits issued to individuals because of their association membership? And what happens to an operator's permit when they leave one association to join another? These are fundamental regulatory questions that require clear answers.
We condemn the violence stemming from internal fights within the taxi industry in Cape Town. Our Cape Town Metro Police officers are maintaining a heightened presence around various high risk taxi ranks to protect commuters. The City will act to uphold the rule of law and support SAPS to hold violent criminals accountable. We will do whatever it takes to make communities safer.

Mawande we can’t be always looking back at Apartheid. People must account for their actions and government must do its job to ensure safety of all citizens. SANTACO must talk to its affiliates or strong actions must be taken. We truly cannot be hold ransom by taxi operators….

There are only 18km seperating Delft and Newlands but the Spatial separation of Apartheid in Cape Town is so good that all those sitting at Newlands watching cricket won’t even feel a ripple from the insanity that’s burdening their work force today in the Townships. 🤡🤡

There are MORE homeless people now than ever thanks to the DA’s housing policies (or lack thereof). CPT is now way worse than El Salvador (yes, the country) which was murder capital of the world! Very incompetent and corrupt bunch, simply put, they are a basket of deplorables.
