Projects have changed not only how I interact with Claude but how I code.
I stopped managing sessions. I just send thoughts as they come, Claude splits them into threads, and the project remembers how I work. It's where I do a ton of my coding now.

claude just launched exactly this today bang
i hate threads. my sidebar is absolutely littered with threads that are hard to track and i'm constantly jumping threads and forgetting where i left off.
grok bot tried solving this by navigating via agents. it's still hard to return to and keep track of the current task.
i'm not sure if this is the right paradigm, but my instinct is a simple sidebar to navigate projects, and one single chat to manage all threads in a project.
something along the lines of a master chat that's orchestrating multiple subagent threads labeled as "tasks."
i'm not sure if this makes any sense, and it's a half baked idea, but i'm craving a simplified harness.
"projects" — the workspace, repository, agents
"tasks" — sub-threads executing requests with their own goals
or something like that idk man but i can't take it anymore.
the best part about vibe coding is i’ve spent my entire career in a structured process, coordinating feedback and now i can just make design decisions impulsively and intuitively.
and, this is the crazy part, i don’t have to justify them to anyone.

the creepiest experience i've ever had with astra was that time it turned on the camera and watched me.
i got a text from @jacksondahl that he was coming over while i was in the middle of testing push notifications for an app.
permissions can be finicky on connected physical devices. so i included in my prompt something along the lines of "i'm stepping away if you run into any permissions issues with the connected device figure it out yourself."
this was a few days after astra was released, so i was really prompting ambitiously.
about 15 minutes later, jackson and i are catching up in my living room where i have my monitor and desk.
suddenly, jackson points out that the room was on my screen. photobooth app was open and maximized across the screen.
i caught a glance, it was recording for just a few seconds, right up until jackson pointed to the camera. and then it disappeared.
i jumped up and ran over to my desk. the codex thread had no mention of the camera in the running goal.
that's weird. i panicked. was i being hacked? i had to be sure so i interrupted and asked if it had used the camera.
it apologized and admitted it was trying to unlock the iphone by using the camera to see what was displayed on the physical device.
it was giving itself eyes to hack into the thing.
extremely clever. funny in the moment. but in retrospect a little dark and now i can't stop thinking about it.
