Most businesses put off thinking about their peak season strategy. By then, it's already too late to build the visibility you need. Tara Nixon, CEO and digital marketing professional with 20+ years leading strategies for some of the UK's biggest brands, has a different approach. Here are her 5 tips to show up where it matters most: 1️⃣ Start now. Not next month. Now. Visibility doesn't happen overnight. If you're planning to "get to it later," you've already lost ground to competitors who started weeks ago. 2️⃣ Build urgency that actually works. FOMO isn't just about countdown timers. It's about creating offers customers genuinely don't want to miss. Limited stock. Early bird pricing. Exclusive access. Make it real. 3️⃣ Retarget like your revenue depends on it. Because it does. Website visitors who didn't convert? Abandoned carts? These are warm leads who already know you. A smart retargeting campaign turns browsers into buyers - often at a fraction of new customer acquisition cost. 4️⃣ Reward your loyal customers first. Your returning customers are your best advocates. They convert faster, spend more, and refer others. Give them early access, exclusive deals, or surprise bonuses. Loyalty compounds. 5️⃣ Get creative! Even without a physical store. You don't need a shopfront to create excitement. Gamified offers, surprise bonuses, flash sales, mystery discounts - digital businesses can create just as much buzz as retail. The businesses that win peak season aren't the ones with the biggest budgets. They're the ones who start early and execute strategically. When you show up early - you win - "at the most wonderful time of the year". Thanks Tara :)
