This one’s important to me if you have a minute to read a message of gratitude. It’s really easy for a lot of us that have never had any type of driving anxiety to completely discount this very common paranoia. Last night, I hugged my friend as she got in her Tesla model Y to drive herself and her mother across a mountain range back home without any fear. Without Tesla self driving, she would never consider making that drive. Before she had her Tesla; she had overwhelming anxiety to avoid most out of town driving situations. She particularly avoided nighttime driving and any driving through the mountains. Nothing makes me happier than to witness that my dear friend has achieved full independence. It all started because she was in a bad accident and I let her borrow my model X during the process to find out if her vehicle could be fixed or if it was totaled. This simple opportunity to get into the Tesla ecosystem and then to test drive a new Tesla for herself was a game changer for her quality of life. Similar to many stories that we’ve all seen; It set her free from the extreme stress that she had to deal with from driving. Driving is not fun for everyone. For many, being out on the open road in a place that they are unfamiliar with is an extraordinarily stressful and emotionally debilitating process that often prevents them from even leaving the house. I want to extend a thank you to the Tesla team from all of those that have had their lives changed positively by an incredible technology. To everyone that goes to work at Tesla every day: Please accept kudos from the woman in this video who represents thousands and thousands of drivers (including a dear friend of mine) who all feel the same.
