Before them Narratives moves already madeπŸ’―
One of the reasons I say these things is because the charts often show the change in market conditions before the narratives arrive to explain them. I mentioned volatility was coming in, then took profit on the 28th because my analysis told me it was time to do so. The market declined the following day, and now suddenly there’s a narrative around what supposedly caused it. Learn to read the market before you start looking for someone or something to blame after the move happens. More importantly, learn to manage yourself. Learn the things you lack, understand your own biases, and recognize the things that keep you from seeing reality clearly. The narrative comes after the move. The chart doesn’t need the narrative to move. πŸ’―

Reason why his ta has been so bullish from the start because he is a validator and earns by garnering more to delegate to his validator also earning him more regardless of his TA which has been wrong from the very beginning, moving goal posts. This is a really strange comparison because it takes two completely different things and creates a winner and loser narrative that the actual facts don’t support. DTCC launching its tokenization service is significant. Nobody should downplay that. But somehow that became β€œCanton displaced XRP” and β€œthe institutional crown has officially been passed” πŸ€¦πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈ Where is that actually coming from? DTCC didn’t build a system that says Canton replaces everything else. DTCC launched a multi network model. Canton is one of the networks being supported alongside DTCC’s own private Besu infrastructure, with additional networks expected to be added. dtcc.com/press-releases/2026… That alone should tell you why the comparison is flawed. Canton solving a particular institutional problem around privacy, interoperability and controlled access does not somehow prove that XRP or the XRPL was wrong. They are different architectures designed around different requirements. And this is where the article starts mixing facts with a narrative. The XRPL is a public decentralized ledger. XRP is the native asset, but the XRPL itself can tokenize other assets, operate a DEX, provide settlement infrastructure and use XRP as a bridge asset when beneficial. (XRP Ledger) So the argument that Ripple somehow sold institutions this idea that they had to expose all of their proprietary financial activity on a public ledger is already oversimplified. You can criticize Ripple. You can criticize XRP. You can criticize the XRPL. I do it myself. But separating Ripple the company, XRP the asset and XRPL the ledger is literally the first step toward having an intelligent conversation about this. The article also seems to assume that because DTCC is tokenizing trillions of dollars of securities, the native token of the underlying network should somehow capture all of that value. That isn’t how infrastructure works. $30 trillion of eligible securities does not mean $30 trillion of capital is flowing into Canton Coin. Tokenized securities are representations of assets. The value of the underlying securities and the value of a network’s native asset are two completely different economic questions. And ironically, that same distinction applies to XRP. The amount of value that can move across a network does not automatically equal the market capitalization that the network’s native asset must have. That is why I don’t understand the β€œBanker’s Coin” argument either. You can’t spend years telling people that XRP’s institutional adoption doesn’t matter unless XRP goes to some ridiculous price, then turn around and use institutional adoption of Canton as evidence that Canton has won because it has institutional connections. That’s just changing the measuring stick after the fact. β€œThe institutional crown has officially been passed” is a narrative. And honestly, the article reads more like an emotional reaction to XRP not producing the price outcome many people expected than an objective comparison of financial infrastructure. The DTCC can use multiple rails. DTCC’s own implementation is literally evidence of that. That’s the part people keep missing. Stop turning infrastructure into tribal sports teams and start looking at the actual architecture, incentives, liquidity and value capture.

There has been a war against Indigenous peoples and Indigenous knowledge for centuries which dates all the way back to the time Before Egypt was Called Egypt, before . It hasn’t always looked like a physical war. Sometimes it has been the removal of people from their lands, the suppression of their languages, the rewriting of their histories, or the dismissal of their knowledge as somehow less valuable. Our Indigenous cultures carry generations upon generations of knowledge about land, water, astronomy, agriculture, navigation, medicine, community, and our relationship with the natural world. Much of that knowledge predates what many people are being taught today. When you remove the people who have carried that knowledge for generations, and then remove their histories and understanding from the story of humanity, you slowly erase part of humanity’s foundation. That isn’t just an Indigenous loss. It is a loss of knowledge for everyone. You cannot understand humanity completely while continually removing the people, histories, and knowledge systems that have been here for thousands of years.

πŸ€¦πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈ Yup, and what’s interesting is how they hiked up the rates after HECO executives had already profited from selling their stocks, then framed it as a way to help cover the costs of the wildfire lawsuits and settlements. But where is that help actually going? There are still so many people who haven’t received the assistance they were promised. You see bits and pieces happening here and there, but the majority of those affected are still waiting for the help they were told was coming. Meanwhile, we in the community has done more to support our own people than the very government and institutions that have access to the funds and resources to make a real difference. What’s even more concerning is the number of claims involving lawyers and other parties who seemingly stand to collect a piece of that settlement pie, while the people who actually lost their homes, livelihoods, and everything they worked for are still trying to put their lives back together. At some point, people need to start asking where the money is going, who’s benefiting from it, and why the people who need it most are still waiting. πŸ€¦πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈ

ICarly was surprisingly ahead of its time with the streaming/content-creator model. Seeing this post now some of the concepts feel less like a kids’ sitcom and more like a prediction of the creator economy and streaming culture that would explode a decade later. πŸ˜‚

Some ppl thought Codius was dead πŸ€£πŸ€£πŸ€·πŸΎβ€β™‚οΈ Kinda hilarious seeing ppl who never talked about ILP, Codius or Coil now suddenly speaking on it like they’ve been following it all along 🀣Ppl’s actions are always telling. Especially when their original thinking was never about these things until suddenly they became relevant to the narrative. That difference matters.
STEFAN THOMAS JUST SAID THE WORD EVERYONE FORGOT. CODIUS. 🚨 Yesterday I told you he snuck onto the Swell stage. Here's what he actually said. Right at the end. Almost in passing: πŸ—£οΈ "Codius comes next, by the way." Most people missed it. Here's why it matters. 2014. Stefan builds Codius at Ripple. Apps that run anywhere, not stuck inside one blockchain. 2015. Ripple shelves it. Too early. The problem was simple. In his own words: πŸ—£οΈ "we didn't have a neutral way to pay Codius hosts." His fix became Interledger. Money that moves the way information moves online. Last night he showed the missing piece. Dassie. A payment network anyone can run. Nodes find each other on their own. No approvals. No trusting strangers. Payments done in 20 to 30 milliseconds. Settled on the XRP Ledger. Built for XRP and RLUSD. So the payment rail Codius always needed finally exists. And Codius is "next." Why now? He started Dassie in 2022. Then a little over two weeks ago he picked it back up with AI. "For me, it was an absolute game changer." And a little ledger lore: ⬇️ In September 2014 a Ripple account sent 1 XRP payments with the memo "thanks for participating in the Codius demo!" One went to a name called "~stefan." Still sitting on the XRP Ledger today. It's test money for now. He said so himself. But his last slide said it best: "We used to dream about this. Now it's real."

User funds are safe! It does look like a hack on Binance. Appreciate the quick freeze from Tether (~$971m) and Circle (~$823m). I don't manage Binance (.com) anymore, but as a shareholder, I expect all user funds will be fully covered.

When projects keep offering rewards upon rewards upon rewards just for holding a token, you have to ask yourself what’s actually sustaining the ecosystem. A lot of DeFi projects use farming incentives to attract liquidity, bring in new participants, and expand their reach. The problem is when those rewards become the main reason people hold the token in the first place. Now you have people holding because they want more tokens, staking those tokens to earn even more, and being encouraged to reinvest those rewards back into the same ecosystem. It becomes a continuous cycle of incentivizing participation without necessarily creating any real demand for the underlying asset. The numbers can look good on the surface. TVL goes up, wallets increase, and the community keeps growing. But how much of that activity is organic, and how much is just capital chasing incentives? If the ecosystem needs to keep rewarding people just to keep them from leaving, what happens when those rewards dry up? There’s a difference between building an ecosystem that generates sustainable value and building one that constantly needs to manufacture incentives to keep capital circulating. At some point, you have to look beyond the rewards and ask where the actual value comes from, who is funding those rewards, and whether there is enough real demand to sustain the system without them. Because distributing more tokens isn’t the same as creating more value. And keeping people locked into a cycle of farming incentives doesn’t automatically mean you’re building something sustainable.
first month over 1000 $XRP in arb is in the books last 24 hours was 81.32 zerps on ~17,955 XRP volume was looking at dex numbers this week, it's crazy to see how early we are out of 8 million XRP addresses, only about 5% have interacted with the DEX, that's a lot of runway folks higher 🫑
