Anyone calling for the manager's head is an ostrich. I won't blame Iraola for anything this season after the state of the window we had. How have Liverpool ended up with no RW, one senior striker, and the same midfield that was terrible last season? He didn't get backed.

Klopp inherited the weakest squad of the three and built Liverpool into title contenders from scratch. Slot inherited a ready-made squad and won the title without removing Klopp's DNA. Then he brought in his own philosophy and his own players, and the club backed his vision like no one before. It failed badly. Iraola's situation is bizarre. He's inherited the expensive signings who didn't fire under Slot, and players like Gravenberch and Szoboszlai on big new contracts who still haven't found their feet in his system. There are gaping holes in the squad on top of that. Worse, he's expected to fix it almost immediately, because he has "expensive players" and a better squad than Klopp ever started with. Under Slot, these players were outrun week in, week out. Iraola's whole game is built on outrunning the opposition. He's being asked to wave a magic wand, shake them out of last season's slumber, and turn us into world-beaters overnight

His reading of the game is unbelievable for his age. Been a shite few days but he's a massive positive to come out of them. With all the caveats around managing minutes and being careful with him, he's got to be a starting as much as possible moving forward

Trey Nyoni completed 40% of Liverpool's line breaking passes tonight (19). More than Alexis Mac Allister (6) and Dominik Szoboszlai (5) combined. He just has to be a regular going forwards.
Trey Nyoni has completed more line breaking passes in the Premier League and Champions League (77) in 369 minutes than Ryan Gravenberch (58) has in 545 minutes.

To put Liverpool's defeat into context Fenerbache haven't won a Champions League match since 2008 and lost 6-0 to Aston Villa a couple of weeks ago.

people calling for Iraola to be sacked is just a perfect summing up in how the fanbase is becoming more and more made up of people that joined 2/3 years into klopp’s reign

92% - Trey Nyoni has completed 92% of his passes under high-intensity pressure in the @ChampionsLeague this season. This is the highest accuracy of any midfielder with 100+ attempted, ahead of Pedri in second (91%). Composure.

The way he keeps dropping deep and standing on Nyoni's toes. He just doesn't like recieving under pressure so drops for easy possession.

🚨🚨🎙️| Andoni Iraola : “The first goal - I don't think we set the wall properly and, the second one is a rebound – and the last one Muriqi jumps and wins the ball against three of our defenders, it's something that definitely we have to defend better.”
🚨🚨🎙️| Andoni Iraola : "The main reason I can find to lose the game is we conceded [from] three set-pieces. It's something that we were doing very well in the league, I think we were dealing with it quite well until today." "We knew it was one of the strengths of Fenerbahce but we concede from a free-kick, from a corner, even from the long throw at the end."
