Trees are being cut left, right and center in #Noida #BiodiversityPark by @noida_authority itself.
In the name of developing a #DeerPark a well functioning park has been destroyed & in a completely haphazard manner with such apathy towards park users.
And with so many trees cut, how do we expect #AQI in Noida to get better. This has to stop immediately.

Big Tech, Real Cost is a WION special series hosted by Meraj Shah. In this panel discussion, we examine India's push for digital sovereignty and what it means in an increasingly interconnected technology ecosystem. From data and cloud infrastructure to chips, compute, satellite networks and AI, the panel explores where India has built technological capabilities and where it remains dependent on global technology companies.
The discussion explores the role of regulation, private capital and government investment in building India's deep-tech ecosystem, while asking whether greater technological capability can coexist with openness to global technology and markets. From India's AI ambitions and frugal models to the lessons of the semiconductor mission, what should India do to strengthen its strategic autonomy without cutting itself off from the world?
The panel discussion features @malikpayal (Ex-CCI) and @AA_speaks (NASSCOM).

India’s digital sovereignty cannot be viewed as a binary choice between domestic and foreign technology. While India has built considerable strength at the application and digital public infrastructure layers, dependencies remain across cloud, compute, AI models and other critical infrastructure.
On @WIONews's Big Tech, Real Cost, Ashish Aggarwal, Vice President, Public Policy, Nasscom, explains why the way forward lies in building capability, creating choice and substitutability, strengthening resilience, and ensuring that policy enables innovation rather than becoming a barrier.
The objective is not isolation, but the ability to determine India’s technological direction without being constrained to a single provider or pathway.

BIG TECH, REAL COST is a WION special series hosted by Meraj Shah on how the platform and AI era is attracting our lives: from the algorithm in your living room to the power grid running the data centres.
Across eight panels, some of India’s sharpest voices on technology, law and policy argue it out: who controls what you see, who owns your data, who profits when Indian work trains foreign AI, what happens to entry-level jobs, how should we regulate social media, and who pays for the electricity and water that AI consumes.

At Nasscom Future Forge 2026, the roundtable "Roundtable on the Validation, Adoption and Deployment of Indian Agritech and Watertech Solutions" brought together policymakers, researchers, industry leaders and technology developers for a closed-door working session focused on agritech and watertech, to examine India's adoption deficit and identify pathways to move proven Indian solutions from pilot to scale.
The conversation was structured around three outcomes:
→ Establishment of a National Agritech & Watertech Adoption Framework, anchored in cross-ministerial alignment across the @AgriGoI, @DoWRRDGR_MoJS, @NITIAayog and @icarindia, to address the gap between India's innovation pipeline and its adoption at scale.
→ Execution of the three core pillars: technology prioritisation to align research and funding with national challenges, standardised validation and certification through common Technology Readiness Levels, and market readiness pathways that connect demonstration, field validation and procurement.
→ Institutional coordination and global best practice adaptation, drawing on unified ecosystem synergy across India's existing bodies and lessons from models such as the Netherlands, Australia, Singapore, Israel and Italy, localised for India's scale, its federal structure and its smallholder-led agriculture.
