I just hope you guys are noting the 'Male' & 'Female' Muslim accounts supporting the Eyo Festival. If anyone of them has been entering your eyes, dead the agenda. Marrying people like that is deadly o. They won't mind 'going out' regarding you issue. Shine your eyes!

We cannot mind our business when it comes to raising awareness for Muslims. As for dragging Islam, we aren’t afraid of it. Islam was dragged from the day it was born. It will be up until the day Issa return. It’s in the dragging of Islam that Ibrahim was thrown into fire. It was for this that Isa was conspired against. Shua’ib was in fact told that, “how is it your business how we spend our money?” It was for this that Muhammad was stoned and attacked. He was saying what we are saying today. You all love the stories for motivation, but you hate to see those who follow the footsteps of those prophet. There’s a place for those who don’t want to be dragged with Muslims: outside Islam. As for us, we’ll speak, Islam will be dragged by Kuffar, and we’ll be dragged along with it. But the dragging will be done by the Kuffar, the people whose dragging doesn’t do anything to us, but add a badge of honour. Dear Muslims, don’t participate in eyo and Christmas. Dear non-Muslims, those who aren’t loyal to their religion can’t be loyal to you. You’re safer with us than with them. It’s my hope that’ll get a million dragging under this post, while I sip my warm tea.
I hate the insult you bring to Islam! You don’t mind your business and it’s disgusting

He was minding his business. Supposing Muslims were not involved, it wouldn't be his business. The Muslims who fail to recognize the festival for what it is, are his business. Someone had to say it and it was him. Kudos to him. Some Muslims can even render the eyo panegyric. Eyo is not the Muslims' business. Let the Muslims mind their business.

Oh Muslims! The Eyo Festival is not part of our religion. Do not participate in it. It is an act of Kufr (disbelief) disguised as culture. Shaykh AbdulHakīm AbdurRaheem Al Kutubi Kindly retweet so others can benefit and share virtually and physically with our brethren in Lagos Island to benefit .

I got a copy of the new book authored by my Blooder (Blood + Brother) @ADEKAHMED and of course designed by my humble self. See, there is no need for long epistle or explanation, you will be doing yourself a disservice if you don’t get to read it. It cost just 10k at the moment
Which design would you choose? A or B?

“This book does more than explain verses, it gently heals. It reminds the reader that the Qur’an speaks to you no matter who you are, or what you are facing. Each principle serves as a moral compass for navigating contemporary challenges.” - Lawal Afeez Arishekola #LiveQuranWell

A Sister's Reflection A sister pondered over this verse (إِنَّ لَكَ أَلَّا تَجُوعَ فِيهَا وَلَا تَعْرَىٰ): “Indeed, it is [promised] for you not to be hungry therein or be unclothed.” (Taahaa 20: 118) and came up with this beautiful reflection: “By Allaah, had there been any good whatsoever in being unclothed or half-naked; it surely would have been one of the enjoyments of Paradise!”

If you crave Allaah’s love, humble yourself: (إِنَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الْمُسْتَكْبِرِينَ.) سورة النحل الآية 23 "Indeed, He [Allaah] does not like the arrogant." (An-Nahl 16:23) If you desire to have a place in that Blissful Abode of the Hereafter, purge your interior of traces of overbearing pride. 83 "That home of the Hereafter We assign to those who do not desire exaltedness upon the earth or corruption. And the [best] outcome is for the righteous." (Al-Qasas 28:83)

REFLECTIONS In Surah Al-Hijr, verses 97-99, Allaah says, the interpretation of the meaning of which goes thus: “We do indeed know how your heart is distressed at what they say. So glorify the praises of your Lord and be of those who prostrate themselves (to Him). And worship your Lord until there comes unto you the certainty (i.e., death).” (Al-Hijr 15: 97-99) A few reflections from the verses: - It is naïve to assume that negative remarks from people are avoidable. Who are we? People did say worst things about the best man that ever walked on the surface of the earth! - It is absolutely natural to be grieved by negative things people say about us. Such grieving is unrelated to our Eemaan or lack thereof. The best of Allaah’s Prophets and Messenger (ﷺ) was indeed grieved by negative things people said about him. Yet those things did not affect the perfectness of his Eemaan and piety. - Islaam does not dwell on persons or individuals. Rather, it addresses actions. The key phrase “what they say” without making any allusion to who says it is instructive in this regard. Perhaps, there is a lesson in this for us on how to manage our interrelations. - We will have to cope with negative remarks made about us as long as we live. The tense in the theme of the above verses is simple present: ‘they say’. Simple present tenses indicate regularity and continuity. The instruction to worship Allaah until death comes, as a means of handling negative comments, may also be another indication that expectation of perpetual negative remarks about us should be a part of our lives. - Since hearing negative remarks is absolutely unescapable, then it remains how to make the best out of them. Rather than expending our energy and time on throwing tantrum, hitting back at detractors, going defensive or seeking the approval of fellow mortals, the focus should be on: (a) increasing our righteous deeds – particularly remembrance of Allaah (which, of course, includes self-introspection to see where we have done wrong and act accordingly), (b) engaging in more acts of worship, and (c) most importantly being punctual and dedicated in observance of obligatory prayers and performance of more supererogatory prayers. - In ensuring steadfastness during challenging and difficult times, nothing aids as strongly as salaah does. (Ibn Katheer, in his comment on verse 45 of Soorah Al-Baqarah). Likewise, the Prophet (ﷺ) would always resort to salaah whenever a matter worried him. (At-Tirmidhee; classified as Saheeh by Al-Albaanee). May Allaah benefit and elevate us with His Wise Book and the pure Sunnah of His noble Prophet (ﷺ)!

A man ponderingly gazed at a beautiful palace. He then turned to his friend and said: “Where were we when this wealth was being shared?!” In response, his friend just held his hand and took him to a hospital. There, he answered his question: “Where were we when these diseases were being shared?” Appreciate what you have and thank Allaah for it; you will worry less about what you don’t have.

I always tell my friends and clients to maintain a good relationship with their parents regardless of any hurt they might have experienced from them. As a Muslim, the Quran enjoins me to honour my parents, and after God, I am expected to honour my parents next. Instructively, Chapter 17, Verse 23 of the Quran provides as follows: “Your Lord has decreed that you do not worship any but Him, and be good to your parents. If one or both of them are with you and attain old age do not say to them a word of disrespect, nor scold them, and speak to them respectfully.” I also tell my friends that there’s nothing my parents can do to me that would make me become estranged from them or disrespect them. Indeed, I am glad that I never had any serious disagreements with my dad during his lifetime—we debated issues regularly, but it never led to any dispute. My mother also knows that all she needs to do is say the word, and it’s done!😍 I cringe whenever I see people mentioning the name of their benefactor as the most important person in their lives after God, and I wonder if they came into this world without passing through their parents! Please do me a favour. Call your parent(s) today if you read this post. Have a great week ahead!
