Trump says he could have won the Vietnam War in a week.
By bombing Ho Chi Minh City.
IDIOT. The United States was defending Ho Chi Minh city, the capitol of South Vietnam. The enemy was North Vietnam, it's capitol is Hanoi.
And by the way the United States did conduct limited bombing near Hanoi, but direct bombing of Hanoi itself would likely have drawn China or the Soviet Union into directly fighting against the United States.
My God. This stupid violent idiot is Commander in Chief of the United States.
Trump:
I could have won the Vietnam War in a week.
They kept bombing forests for years instead of going after Ho Chi Minh City.

Ho Chi Minh City was called Saigon during the Vietnam War and was the capital of US-allied South Vietnam; North Vietnam's capital was Hanoi.

Trump: You know what the weave is, right? You’ll tell a story, and during the course of the story, you have other stories that relate to it. So you’ll be telling a story about the king of Saudi Arabia, and then ba ba ba ba, and the jets, and it is being bah bah bah, and it all comes back, and then in the end, you get to the final point.
Now, there will be a time when I don’t get to the final point, and then you could say it’s a ramble. But the way I do it, it’s pure freaking genius, OK? The weave, it’s called the weave. Right, boom boom.

IRAN DIDN’T JUST STRIKE AMERICAN MILITARY BASES. NEW EVIDENCE SHOWS HOW IT TARGETED THE SYSTEMS DESIGNED TO PROTECT THEM.
A new Associated Press investigation has documented more than 115 Iranian or Iran-backed drone and missile strikes that damaged or destroyed structures at 26 U.S. military bases and sites across the Middle East through August.
The findings reveal damage to radar systems, aircraft, hangars, communications infrastructure and other military facilities.
But the distinction between damage and military defeat matters.
WHAT THE EVIDENCE SHOWS
Using satellite imagery and interviews with regional officials, AP reconstructed attacks on American military infrastructure.
The investigation found that early-warning radar and air-defense systems were among the initial targets.
Subsequent strikes damaged aircraft facilities, warehouses, fuel infrastructure and troop accommodations.
Kuwait experienced particularly extensive damage.
Ali Al Salem Air Base was struck at least 30 times. Camp Buehring also suffered significant damage.
The investigation identified hundreds of damaged or destroyed structures and reported losses involving expensive military equipment.
KEY PERSPECTIVES
U.S. military officials: Maintain that American forces retain substantial defensive capabilities. Detailed public accounting of equipment losses and operational consequences remains limited.
Iran and Iran-backed forces: Conducted attacks against U.S. military facilities during the conflict. The documented damage does not independently establish the broader strategic claims made by either side.
Military analysts: Point to the vulnerability of fixed installations, particularly when relatively inexpensive drones can threaten equipment costing millions of dollars.
COMPETING NARRATIVES
One narrative portrays the strikes as evidence that American military defenses have been decisively defeated.
Another emphasizes continuing U.S. military strength and the ability to reposition forces.
The evidence supports neither an assumption of complete military defeat nor a dismissal of the documented damage.
SCALE AND PROPORTIONALITY
More than 115 strikes do not mean 115 bases were destroyed.
Damage at 26 sites does not establish that every installation became inoperable.
And substantial equipment losses, while consequential, cannot alone determine the overall outcome of a military conflict.
The AP investigation establishes widespread physical damage. The full operational consequences remain less certain.
WHY IT MATTERS
Modern military defenses depend on sophisticated radar, communications, aircraft and logistical infrastructure.
When relatively inexpensive weapons can damage expensive defensive systems, the financial and strategic consequences extend beyond individual attacks.
The findings raise questions about military preparedness, infrastructure protection, replacement costs and the vulnerability of American forces stationed overseas.
They also raise accountability questions about what information should be publicly disclosed without compromising operational security.
EVIDENCE STATUS
CONFIRMED: AP’s satellite investigation documents extensive damage across multiple U.S. military sites.
PARTIALLY ESTABLISHED: Overall financial losses and the extent of operational disruption.
UNRESOLVED: Full repair costs, replacement timelines and the long-term effects on regional military readiness.
UNSUPPORTED: Claims that the strikes prove the complete defeat of U.S. forces or the collapse of American military defenses.
THE BOTTOM LINE
The evidence establishes that American military infrastructure suffered substantial damage.
What it does not establish is that damage alone determines who won, who lost or what military capabilities remain.
The distinction is essential to understanding the true consequences of the conflict.

AN AWARD-WINNING IRANIAN SHORT FILM THAT CHOKED ME UP ❤️
An elderly man notices a couple arguing in traffic, while their little daughter silently watches everything from the back seat. Seeing the little girl caught in the middle of their argument, he and his wife decide to do something to remind the family of the love they seem to have forgotten. Through a simple gesture involving flowers, they send them a heartfelt message.
But the ending reveals something truly heartbreaking...
The elderly man was never actually accompanied by his wife. He visits her grave every Thursday. The empty seat beside him holds nothing but memories of the woman he loved. The flowers he had originally brought for her were given to the arguing family instead, hoping to remind them of the love they still have.
And the little girl’s response with a flower of her own makes the moment even more emotional.
A man who can no longer share his love with the person he lost, yet still finds a way to bring a little love back into someone else’s life. 🫰

In researching my new book, Requiem for Gaza, I discovered how Israel systematically targeted and killed the Palestinian professional class (such as doctors and journalists), an obvious genocidal tactic. This goal is symptomatic of Israel's larger vision for Gaza; to ethnically cleanse its population via genocide.

2024: Keir Starmer, "I'm well aware of the definition of genocide, that is why I've never described this or referred to it as genocide"
2026: Louis Walsh, "It's genocide, we're all watching it, as if nothing's happened"
My view:
In November 2024, Gaza’s Health Ministry reported that 43,712 Palestinians had been killed and 103,258 injured.
Two months earlier, a UN satellite assessment found that 66% of Gaza’s structures had been damaged, including 52,564 that had been completely destroyed.
On 14 May 2025, Starmer’s government again said it did not consider Israel’s actions in Gaza to constitute genocide.
By then, the reported death toll had risen to 54,381, with 124,054 injured.
And UN satellite assessments found that 70% of structures had been damaged and 70,436 destroyed.
During Starmer’s premiership, the RAF flew at least 245 Shadow R1 surveillance missions over Gaza. Those aircraft collect imagery. It is difficult to believe the government had no clear picture of the destruction unfolding there.
Starmer came to office promising professionalism, competence and honesty—a sharp contrast with the chaos of the Conservatives, particularly Boris Johnson.
As a former human rights lawyer, he was especially well placed to recognise the gravity of what was happening and speak plainly about it.
Instead, he refused to call it genocide, even as he condemned Russia’s actions in Ukraine.
Amnesty International; Israeli human rights groups B’Tselem and Physicians for Human Rights–Israel; the International Association of Genocide Scholars; Médecins Sans Frontières; and the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry are among those who have described it as genocide.
I was disgusted by what Boris Johnson got up to in Downing Street. I’m just as disappointed by Starmer.
People look to their leaders—especially their prime minister—for honesty, integrity and decency.
On Gaza, Starmer failed that test.
Johnson spoke of letting “the bodies pile high” during Covid. Starmer’s failure was different, but the result is still a shameful legacy: a prime minister who watched immense suffering unfold under his government and would not name it.
Thank you, Louis Walsh, for saying plainly what Starmer refused to say. What a profound letdown Starmer is.
