Chris DeMarco’s fate was sealed as soon as he shrugged his shoulders and deferred to Stewie to explain the playoff reset timeout issue.
Breaking: Chris DeMarco will not be retained as head coach of the New York Liberty, sources told ESPN. In his sole year at the helm, New York went 26-18 and was the No. 8 seed in the playoffs before getting swept by the Atlanta Dream in the semifinals. The Liberty will now seek their third head coach in three years.

From @TheAthletic: The WNBA Finals starting at 12:30 p.m. Eastern is an embarrassment, our columnist writes. "Inexcusably obtuse planning, astoundingly bad optics, and most of all a wildly crappy thing to do to the people who consume your product." nyti.ms/4ssSHTm

🚨BREAKING: Mayor Zohran Mamdani says NYC will move more than 10,000 low-income children off the child care voucher waitlist, providing free care for kids from 6 weeks to 13 years old, and through 19 for children with special needs.
The expansion is backed by Gov. Kathy Hochul’s $1.2 billion child care investment and comes after the city eliminated out-of-pocket voucher fees and launched universal 2-K.
It’s another concrete step toward Mamdani’s broader promise of universal child care, while giving thousands of parents immediate relief now.
Hi!!! @NYCMayor if the liberty go to the finals, can you help me (a NYC teacher) get tickets ?!!!

Arike will be so ass that it completely demoralizes you and just when you start to give up on her, she flies in, does some otherworldly magical shit, and drags you back into the cycle.
