This is an outrageous, grotesque lie. I’m a doctor and I am beyond alarmed at reckless disregard for essential safeguards this committee has demonstrated. This Bill needs to be the first and the last recipient of assisted dying in the UK.

6/ All in all its a very dissapointing state of affairs. Its causing huge stress for @nhs_pensions members and leaving them in great financial uncertainty with difficulty planning their finances. RT if you agree this is unnaceptable. questions-statements.parliam…

People are often surprised to learn that weight can affect their risk of liver disease, but people who are overweight, obese or have type 2 diabetes are at the most risk of developing #MASLD (formerly known as #NAFLD) because it happens when fat begins to build up in the liver. @michaelkbrodie this is an absolute mess. We trained as doctors - but are being forced to ‘retrain’ as accountants/pension experts. This is distraction from what we are needed to do - get waiting lists down. Frustrated and not happy (understatement).

‘I’m genuinely worried that there are a lot of doctors who are going to leave [the UK]. I'll leave if this is not sorted.’ The legacy of the ‘hostile environment’ and the obstacles to obtaining visas allowing vulnerable adult relatives to be reunited with their family in the UK, is driving many overseas doctors to reconsider their lives in the NHS. @BMAtim heard from one doctor about the dilemma he is facing. 🧵[1/6] thedoctor.bma.org.uk/article…
