The Dublin rape crisis centre has a budget of less than €5 million. Last year they had 24,000 contacts on the hotline.
The cost of the children's hospital is one and half billion more than the initial estimate

Thinking of the family, friends and loved ones of the woman killed in Melville Terrace.
Three women have been killed in Finglas since 2021 - Jennie, Fabiola and now this woman. As of July more women in Ireland had died violently than in all of 2025 combined.
Finslly a little justice for this monster's victims.

F*ck Michael O'Leary. Solidarity with all victims & survivors of sexual assault. An absolutely horrific comparison to use for a sound bite. A horrible, horrible man doubling down when given the chance to backtrack. #Ryanair

Absolutely disgusting victim blaming 😡🤬
Shame on the defence
A man who was 18 when he raped a 15-year-old girl during a teenage birthday party - telling her to get the morning after pill once the attack was over - has been jailed for seven years.
The Central Criminal Court heard that during the trial of Patrick Faulkner (24), the dress worn by the victim was produced in court and she was asked by defence lawyers if she was wearing underwear at the time of the attack.

That is not what the article says. An arrest is not a charge or proof, and Gardaí have not said the rape allegation was false. The investigation concerns unspecified allegedly fraudulent documents supplied to UCD. You are presenting speculation as fact.
You might all remember the tragic case of the UCD medical student who missed an exam because she was having an abortion after being raped by a fellow medical student. Yeah, she was lying.
Politicians lined up to trot out the #ibelieveher tripe.
People lie, men and women.
