I replicated this with Claude Code!
It took a live webcam 7 km south of Southampton, UK and predicted its location purely from doppler effect in audio spectrogram + open-source aircraft location data.
Lo and behold, the predicted location (heatmap) peaks at actual location where webcam is situated.
It's crazy that this works at all, and crazier still I replicated it within a few hours.

The result is that Britain has one of the flattest career ladders of any country in the rich world.
While workers in other nations enjoy pay progression throughout their working lives, many highly-educated British professionals approach their earnings ceiling in their mid-30s

To spell it out with some specific jobs: the gap between waiter and restaurant manager used to be 69%. Now it's 20%.
Office managers used to earn 63% more than clerks: now it's 27%.
(HR managers have suspiciously kept most of their premium!)

I find it odd that the idea of paying young people a lower minimum wage is being called "discriminatory".
Stagnating productivity, coupled with a high minimum wage, has already given Britain one of the flattest career ladders in the rich world

britain's problem with wealthy people is class.
growing up, if someone was rich it was because their family always had been. the silver spoon.
except that hasn't been true for decades. in 1989, 43% of the sunday times rich list was self-made. by 2018 it was 94%.
but people still lump anyone who's worked hard and earnt good money in with old money. and with taxes on income and assets this high, we're making new money harder to create.

In order to properly speak a foreign language you sort of have to do an impression of a native speaker. The reason why most anglos are so bad at languages is because they are too self-conscious to effectively do this
