Liberals to Post-Secondary Education: Drop Dead.
Liberal Leader Bonnie Crombie promised to cap international student enrollment at 10% for each Ontario college and university. In Ontario, colleges rely on international students at a much higher rate than universities. #onpoli

Sooner or later the Tories might have to ask themselves whether it was such a smart idea to elect a sneering edgelord who thinks he can govern in three-word sentences instead of someone, you know, competent and relatable.

So, a @Policy_Exchange report has found a way of focusing visas on students at the universities who can charge the highest fees. For the others? “A curbing of student visas may well cause financial distress for some universities”

I would like a thing to happen. But I have always hated and continue to hate trade-offs. As an elected official, I resent being faced with the consequences of my inaction.
We need to properly maintain the TTC. But people still need to be able to get around Toronto. A 54% increase in full weekend subway shutdowns seems excessive, and will just add to the daily frustration so many of us face when we take transit.

Dimestore Pat Buchanan has said he wants to find a $ of savings for every new $ of federal spending in an effort to get the budget back to balance ASAP. Does he stand by this remark given the likely demands for new spending in the face of an economy-wrecking 25% US tariff?

1) I don't see anything in this article saying these "no shows" are actually in the country (they might be but not obvious from the way it's writren) 2) Even if they are, it would imply a no-show rate of about 7%, not the 19% figure I criticized the Globe for touting last year.
I am reminded of the folks who refused to believe that the growing discrepancy between enrolments and study visas issued in the college sector reflected "no shows." 👉 nitter.cf/AlexUsherHESA/status/1… @AlexUsherHESA 1/2

Decency is not dead in politics. That so many reactionary partisans are negative about a statement like this demonstrates how far our democratic culture has fallen.
I saw the dedication @AnitaAnandMP brought to National Defence at a time it was desperately needed. She cared deeply about the CAF, their families & the need for Canada to do more. I wish her fair winds and following seas. 🇨🇦
