Why I run for birds over the weekend @SheratonKampala gardens ?
Because Uganda’s birds are not just a sight to behold but a part of the ecosystem that sustains life, from pollination and seed dispersal to natural pest control.
Hands up for @acus_uganda

Today, we started our Digital Tourism Masterclass - Advanced level. Where we covered Marketing Funnels, by @AllenNamisango
After, we immediately dived into our 2nd session of the Tour Operations Masterclass. And the turn up was more intentional.
These two will close the year 2026. Looking forward to a brighter year

We made destination marketing experiential at Magical Kenya. Bringing the REAL Uganda to life through our cultures, cuisines, people, and authentic experiences.
And this is just the beginning! We’re taking this energy to expos across the world, giving Uganda the visibility it deserves.
Our goal? To have every corner of the internet buzzing with Uganda content until the world can’t help but #ExploreUganda the Pearl of Africa.

"We are very excited to be part of the Future Hospitality Summit 2027 that will be hosted in Kampala, the buzzing city of Uganda where we will be showcasing the best of Uganda to our partners and investors across the globe and those prospecting too.
We believe that this is the year when we will see a spike of tourism arrivals in Africa for the simple reason that tourists are now looking for something different; something bespoke one that we believe Africa offers, and one that Uganda entirely encompasses."

MONDAY EVENING MEETINGS
The Kampala Tourism Walk strategic meeting for 2027 is underway!
We are pushing hard to attract at least 1,000 participants next year.
We always meet as the organising committee, led by @AllenNamisango, Uncle Caleb, with, of course, The Mad Man cheering the team on!
Together, we are exploring ways to create a national walk that promotes and sells Kampala City as a tourism destination
The First week of August will be massive

Seamless, affordable air connectivity across @jumuiya is not a luxury but a tourism and trade enabler.
The Uganda-Kenya Coast collaboration is a demonstration of what becomes possible when we break barriers, connect destinations & make movement easier across our region.

Say you’re exhibiting at a Tourism Expo, like POATE, your stall is NOT just a space to put up a banner, brochures & photos
It’s your COMPANY’s first HANDSHAKE !
Before you speak to a buyer, investor, media or traveller, your stall has already said something about you📌

International engagements
After being away from Uganda for 3 weeks, there is need to reflect back on my journey and analyze impact. Generally speaking, I would stay longer if I could. But omuganda agamba, "nazina obulunji amala nakolaki...?"
Plus, I discovered so much that it needs me to sit, cool off and utilize well. Honestly even if I stopped here, I feel I could fail to fully exhaust what I have on my radar
So under this post will be all engagements I've had all the way from Zanzibar, Dar es Salaam and finally, Nairobi. See you soon 😊

The future shouldnt be a competition between African destinations but a partnership connecting products, skills, markets and cross-border journeys to tell the story of @jumuiya together.
