The news that my friend Joshua Wong has been given another 10 years in prison is heartbreaking and outrageous.
Joshua has already spent the past six years - over 2100 days - behind bars. He should not spend a day more in prison.
The international community, especially @andyburnham @Ed_Miliband @POTUS @SecRubio, must make every possible effort to press for his immediate and unconditional release

I feel for Danny Kruger. He's a decent guy and when he defected to Reform he had no idea it would end up engaging in this type of racial politics - or that that he'd end up in interviews like this.
But Tim's right: in a party full of moments, this is a moment.
🚨 COMING UP: Reform UK's Danny Kruger REFUSES to condemn high-profile Reformer's 'disgusting slur' towards Kemi Badenoch...

Churchill could have shortened WW2 by years if he had just “done a deal” with Hitler. George Washington could have done a deal to end the American Revolution. Zelenskyy is in good company.

🇺🇦 Zelenskyy delivers a blunt message to the United States:
“Just give us Starlink back. If you refuse, Ukraine will survive. We will continue defending ourselves with or without it.
But why would you restrict a country fighting for its survival? Why make it harder for us to defend our people?
I simply cannot understand the reasoning behind this decision. It is a mistake.”
Ukraine isn’t asking America to fight its war. It’s asking America not to stand in the way of its defense.

President Trump’s decision to waive sanctions against Russia as Putin continues his brutal war of aggression against Ukraine dishonors the legacy of the late Senator Lindsey Graham and is decidedly not in the national interests of the United States and should be reversed.
Putin is a war criminal and only understands strength. Waiving Graham Act sanctions on Russia signals weakness at a moment that demands American strength. Now is the time to stand strong against Russian aggression, just as we did during the years of the first Trump Administration.
A victory in Ukraine would be a victory for freedom and is squarely in the national interests of the United States. If Putin overruns Ukraine, I have no doubt it will only be a matter of time until Russia’s military crosses a border that our troops will have to deal with him.
For the cause of freedom, for America’s national security and that of our allies including Ukraine, President Trump should Restore sanctions under the Graham Act immediately, Rescind the diesel deal with Russia and Rally our Allies to ensure Ukraine has the military support it needs to repel and defeat this Russian invasion once and for all. Since the American President announced the energy ceasefire a week ago, Russia has deliberately attacked Ukraine’s energy and oil and gas sectors 76 times. Last night alone, there were strikes on substations in the Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, and Odesa regions. Tens of thousands of families remain without power. Energy workers and repair crews are working virtually around the clock to restore electricity supply. Overnight, the Russians also struck residential buildings in our regions. As of now, 12 people have been reported injured, including two children. Two people have been killed. My condolences to their families and loved ones. This morning, there was a strike on an agricultural enterprise in Volyn. All necessary services are working at the site.
In total, over this past week, the Russians have attacked Ukraine with almost 2,700 attack drones, 1,700 aerial bombs, and 66 missiles, most of them ballistic. The main targets of these strikes are energy facilities – the Russians are trying to cause a blackout. And America should see that Russia is not taking any reciprocal steps in response to sanctions relief or agreements. On the contrary, they take every signal of an opportunity to make money as proof that their bet on war is paying off and they can keep fighting. It is because of this position of Russia’s that the war continues, not because Ukraine is rightfully defending itself. It is Russia that must face pressure for peace to have a chance. Thank you to everyone who understands this and helps.

"If there is to be any hope that the democracies, and especially what was once the greatest of them all, will retain or regain their moral compass, we must all keep shouting from the rooftops: “This is a lie!”; “That is a lie!”; “The leader of the United States is lying!”

If Putin stops fighting, the war ends. If Zelensky stops fighting then his country will be occupied, leaders murdered, language banned, businesses stolen, children kidnapped. That's what happens in Russian-occupied Ukraine.

Vladimir Putin appears to have concluded that he cannot win the war in Ukraine on the battlefield. His strategy now is to grind Ukraine down. How scandalous that Donald Trump has become his best weapon bit.ly/4zTGUQH

Vladimir Putin is a terrorist and he should be treated like one.
The Ukrainian people are suffering because Vladimir Putin is never held accountable for his reign of terror.
It doesn’t cost a single US tax dollar to condemn Vladimir Putin.
It’s called moral clarity, and it’s FREE.
Vladimir Putin is trying to humiliate the Trump administration.
He attacked Ukraine’s energy infrastructure immediately after President Trump said Russia and Ukraine both agreed to an “energy ceasefire”.
President Trump shouldn’t let Putin get away with disrespecting him and our country.
Russian sanctions should be reimplemented. Putin thinks he can give @POTUS the middle finger.
It’s blatantly disrespectful and antagonistic.

There's no more pretense.
The shameful truth is now clear.
By withholding critical Intel and Internet services, and lifting sanctions on Russia to replenish Putin's war machine, @realDonaldTrump & @elonmusk are now fully complicit. They're on Putin's side.

This war is not going to end in Ukraine’s defeat. But it looks likely to turn our allies away from trusting U.S. military hardware ever again.
The mood in Ukraine is grim today. There's frustration and outrage here in Kyiv towards the Trump administration over what Ukraine's government, the troops and society believe is a deliberate attempt on the part of Washington to force Ukraine to capitulate to Russia – by withholding intelligence that allows early warning when Russian missiles are incoming, and cutting off Starlink to the military which needs it to strike and for defence against jet drones. These decisions cut intel sharing and restrict Starlink cost lives; at least 5 people killed in Kyiv, 6 more in Lutsk, dozens others badly injured.
