"Reforms are working... Don't worry about all these small small things like food and all... It's the price to pay..." Meanwhile, dey share Prados and approve more loans on top of our mounting debt.
I woke up this morning thinking about how hard things have become. We're not living anymore. We're just existing. Things that should be basic, like food, rent, transport, light and school fees, have become luxuries. You work twice as hard just to prove you're trying, and at the end of the month there's still nothing left to show for it. Drive through any street and you'll see grown men and women begging. Some of them once had jobs, dreams and dignity. I can't blame them. The system that was meant to protect them failed them. Every day, prices go up. Every day, we're told to be patient, that the reforms will work, that we should wait a few more years. But how long can a hungry person wait? As someone who talks about money every day, this one hurts me the most. I tell people to invest from the little they have. But for millions of Nigerians, that little isn't even enough to survive. You can't invest money that has already been eaten by rent and food before it lands. Go anywhere in the world and you'll find Nigerians working harder than anyone in the room. We are not lazy. We are not unserious. Life here has just become unfair, and the wealth sits in the hands of a few. Our brightest minds keep leaving. Doctors, engineers, creatives, builders. They didn't leave because they hate home. They left because home stopped making room for them. And if you choose to stay and do things the right way, the system frustrates you until it breaks something in you. To those who benefit from this, who loot what was meant for millions and think it will last forever, remember this. Everything in this life is vanity. The pain you've caused doesn't disappear. One day it comes back to the same table you're eating from. But I refuse to give up completely. Things can still change if we become intentional and stop accepting this as normal. The 2027 election is coming. Please, vote with your conscience. Don't sell your vote for a bag of rice and ₦5,000. That money finishes in a day. The suffering lasts four years. Think about your children. Think about the generation coming after us. They deserve a country that doesn't punish them for being born here. We deserve better. Nigeria deserves better. Shalom.

"But President Tinubu must never be part of those people who just want to comfort Nigerians with lies to secure their votes. He should tell us what we must hear, the painful truth and not comforting lies." One would think President Tinubu didn't feed Nigerians with lies because of his ambition and votes. It is now that "he must never be part of those people.." 😄😄😄
I will prefer that President Tinubu loses the election than him promising Nigerians that he will return the fuel subsidy and reverse his economic reforms that have set Nigeria on the path of growth and economic prosperity. At this critical stage of our country, if Nigerians want someone to lie to them to get their votes, that’s on them. But President Tinubu must never be part of those people who just want to comfort Nigerians with lies to secure their votes. He should tell us what we must hear, the painful truth and not comforting lies. Then let Nigerians decide who they want to trust their future with come January 2027.

Let me get this straight: Trump is actively in bed with Saudi and Qatar, but for some reason, a Muslim senator being elected is what’s going to usher in the Islamic revolution? So its perfectly acceptable and not suspicious at all when Muslims are bringing in billions of dollars to the table and gifting the American president a whole private jet, but suddenly an existential threat when a Muslim American citizen is exercising democratic representation in the country he was born and raised in? You want to look me in the eye and tell me that one Muslim senator has more political and economic leverage than Saudi Arabia and Qatar? Are you seriously going to tell me that, on your life?

You people want Muslims to vote for Peter Obi but you’re fuming that two Muslims were elected out of the literal hundreds of people who were voted into positions of power. Practically saying that Muslims have every right to reject Obi for not sharing their faith. Dumb ass. 😭

Hi Zioraife, Unfortunate greetings to you. The reason nobody takes you people seriously is that you talk endlessly about women's right until a Muslim woman chooses to wear the hijab. You cannot claim to advocate for women’s agency while simultaneously refusing to recognise it when their choices do not align with your worldview. Lastly, you are not nearly as important as you think you are. She is doing just fine without your approval. Whether you like how she dresses is entirely inconsequential and your personal dislike of the hijab does not diminish her or what she has achieved. Have a seat.

Schrodinger's Christianity. Nigerian Christians cannot seem to decide whether the US is a Christian country or not. When it bombs the Middle East, it inot acting as a Christian nation. When it legislates LGBTQIA+ rights, it is not a Christian country. When it invades Venezuela, it is not, When it bombs Libya, it is not. When it cripples Cuba, it is not. But when a Muslim comes into power, the US suddenly becomes a Christian state once again.
He isnt wrong tho Can a Christian become a governor in Pakistan or Iran?

Sorry but I am behind them, please. Bedbug ke?😭 You won't see me too.
I once had bedbug infestation at my former apartment. Nothing too much, just one here and there and I was worried it would multiple quickly I confided in a coworker about it. Oddly enough, everything she told me to do worked well. The following weekend was my birthday and I told everyone during staff briefing that I'd like to host them for a parlor party. No one showed up from work. Not a single person! Not even the few ones I assumed were friends. Just excuses here and there which I understood The Monday after my birthday, our boss apologized for not showing up at my party and it was because someone had hinted her about the bedbug issues. Apparently, the lady I confided in had told everyone that I had bedbugs in my house and it was so much that their homes too might get infested if they attended my party. The knowledge of people whispering behind me about it hunted me for weeks! It wasn’t something much but she made a big deal out of it so much that they avoided me at work. Omo, I learnt a very hard and painful lesson that time.

I totally disagree with this argument. Corruption undermines everything! Almost every major problem we have in Nigeria is either caused or made significantly worse by corruption. If we ask you how to build $800 billion economy, the answer would probably be to increase the productivity of our citizens. How do we do that? By investing in quality education and building a skilled workforce. But how do we achieve that when corrupt politicians and public servants are busy stealing the money meant for our schools, with little or no consequences? You'd probably also say we need to generate more electricity. But just recently, the president had to order the clearance of grid infrastructure materials that had been stuck at the ports for 20 fucking years. Why??? There's no amount of patriotism, vision or passion that can make up for the billions stolen, misappropriated and wasted by the very people entrusted with managing our resources. We cannot keep talking about improving productivity, education, healthcare, infrastructure and economic growth without confronting the corruption that continuously undermines our ability to achieve any of them.
Yup, Whilst corruption is a problem, it is not even top 5 of Nigeria's problems, any leadership in Nigeria that makes corruption a central issue for its campaign or rule will just chase shadows and waste everyone's time. Nigeria's central problem is a revenue problem, the country is just too poor for the kind of life we aspire for. Our net budget is barely $40B, which is wholly inadequate and unacceptable for a nation of 240 million people. Nigeria needs a leadership that can grow the pie, to have a semblance of stability, we need a GDP of at least $800B, and a Tax:gdp of 15%, that will put government annual revenue from just taxation at at least $100B, we've wasted decades chasing shadows and spending what ought to be our seeds on ineffectual subsidies that only bred corruption.

Several figures here aren’t federal results or NY-specific. The $472B combines US wide pledges: Micron's $250B is nationwide (NY site $100B) Anthropic's $50B covers TX and NY. The 48% murder drop is from NY's state run GIVE program (28 departments, Jan – May 2026). arkolith.com/news/news-micr… therepublic.com/?p=843020 governor.ny.gov/news/safer-str…

Imagine thinking you can identify the far left when you can't even dribble that direction
sadly, this is where we're at. a vote for the republican party isn't necessarily a vote for trump. some people vote for conservative values because they don't agree with the direction of the far left. reducing every voter to one man only feeds the division.

Don’t be deceived nor be swayed by meaningless praises. Arsene was in fact not praised, but insulted as a “top four merchant” and “a specialist in failure”. They praised Mourinho for parking the bus. Arteta can park a ship 🚢 for all I care.
Arsenal’s identity was built on beautiful football. Arsène Wenger embodied that philosophy, and every young footballer, even rivals looked forward to playing the brand of football Arsenal represented. Then Arteta came along and completely changed the club’s philosophy. Now we’re being served haram football, the kind that hurts your eyes to watch. It’s embarrassing to see what has become of this club. Arsenal Fans don’t know it Yet
