Great to @UHBCharity funded #EdmondsTransplantCentre Birmingham getting the recognition it deserves @uhbtrust. Solid organ transplantation saves lives. Thank you to @AlistairCarns and the patients for being part of our vision. @ExaltTrial @BirminghamBRC @NIHRresearch results soon
I visited the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham to meet the NHS liver transplant team and hear directly from patients.
I met liver physiotherapist Ashlea Hargreaves and Charlotte Vockins, a liver transplant patient and ExaLT trial participant who is now a leading advocate for liver health policy.
With waiting lists already down by 86,000, we’re committed to rebuilding the NHS, backing staff and investing in the care patients rely on.
