Sometimes, when walking in the street and seeing people with weird expressions, I walk for a while pulling the same face to see what it feels like. I guess they walk the other way, acting like a mouth-breather.

I'm a commissioning editor and I'm up to the tits in AI-written submissions. They absolutely reek of laziness and stupidity. What's the point of wanting to be a writer but finding writing to be an inconvenience? I delete every one of them.

Back in the day in the tour de France, riders rode with steaks down their trousers as padding. At the end of every day they got local restaurants to cook them and they had them for dinner. It was considered a great privilege if he shared it with someone else.

Tonight, the American people sent a clear message — they want a politics that brings people together rather than divides them, and leaders who offer concrete solutions to the challenges they face. These results were only possible because outstanding candidates stepped forward in every region of the country — including in areas once considered long shots. They came from different backgrounds and represented a range of political perspectives, but were united by shared values, a belief in public service, and a commitment to putting the people of their districts and states first. We also owe a debt of gratitude to the thousands of election officials and volunteers from both parties who helped ensure a smooth election and carried out one of the most essential functions of our democracy. While this administration has another two years in office, our job now is to roll up our sleeves, make changes wherever we have the power to do so, prevent further damage, and lay the groundwork for the future.

I'd rather lick every button in a hospital elevator than share a "fun fact" about myself in a team meeting.

I am absolutely sickened by the horrendous comments directed at this heroic young woman who did her duty to the very end. She wasn’t even the Pilot in Command (PIC). Her job at that time was handling all the comms. The male pilot at the controls had already realized the graveness of the situation and had started praying as there was nothing either of them could do to save the aircraft. Do not listen to the cockpit audio of her last minutes, please. It should not even have been made public. Nathalia Filgueiras did her duty under the absolute worst of circumstances. She relayed factual information right up until impact while shoulder-rolling at 60° bank at 600 MPH. The information will be invaluable in the investigation. Even as she knew her short but amazing 20 years of life were about to end, she devoted those last seconds to saving future lives by providing critical information to ground control that will inevitably save lives in the future by preventing these types of crashes. The very definition of Heroism. At only 20 years old. 😭💔🕯️ Please keep her, her family and the other crash victims in your prayers. 💔😭😢🙏

Nearly 30,000 people were killed or seriously injured on Britain’s roads last year. That should shape where police focus, not the latest outrage. It’s time to push the facts to the front. By me in @spectator: spectator.com/article/its-ti…

Sometimes I accidentally turn Radio 1 on.
I’m genuinely curious… Do you ever listen to music in a different language than yours?

Watching @UCI_cycling paracycling track racing. Ricardo Ten has just been described by the commentator as 'the express train from Spain.'
