NEW COLUMN! If the midterms give us the Democratic sweep that the media is promising, at least we can look forward to a renewed trust in government. Like when the FBI manipulated social media companies into censoring The New York Post‘s exposé of Hunter Biden’s laptop by insinuating it was “Russian disinformation”—soon followed by 51 former senior intelligence officials signing a letter saying the same thing. It was one of the most baldfaced deceptions ever perpetrated on the American people (not counting the one about Michelle Obama being the pinnacle of feminine beauty). Now, two FBI agents have been charged with lying to Congress to hide the agency’s role in the chicanery. Unless the prosecution is making up its facts, they look pretty guilty to me. As we later found out, the FBI had known the laptop was genuine nearly a year before the Post published its scoop on October 14, 2020. Surprisingly careless for a crack addict, Hunter had left his computer at a repair store, but never picked it up. The shop contacted the FBI, which took possession of the computer and confirmed its authenticity back in 2019. Nearly a year later, the same place gave the computer to the Post. Perhaps anticipating that the public would eventually get wind of the laptop, the FBI had been grooming social media companies throughout 2020, warning them about a coming Russian dump of misinformation before the election. Naturally, when intelligence specialists labeled the laptop “Russian disinformation,” the companies cried “EUREKA!” and shut down any mention of the laptop across their platforms. Not taking any chances, the day the Post‘s bombshell report came out, FBI officials called top executives at social media companies to discuss the story. Whatever they say they said (there are no tape recordings), the G-men sure didn’t make clear that the laptop was not Russian disinformation. As a result, we got unprecedented, sweeping censorship across the digital public square. Twitter, for example, immediately suspended the accounts of the Post and White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany. The next day, it suspended the Official Trump Campaign account. Anyone who tried to tweet the Post‘s story was blocked and informed: “We can’t complete this request because this link has been identified by Twitter or our partners as being potentially harmful.” (This was done at the direction of Twitter “Safety” exec Vijaya Gadde—one of our highly skilled, very talented Indian immigrants.) I bet the odds on Vivek are FANTASTIC right now.
Every election brings new polls, headlines, and predictions. In a free and open market, those trades bring together information from people across the country to produce a market price that updates in real time. As new information comes in, people can change their minds. The odds change with them. Markets tell you the odds. Voters decide the outcome.

The Oregon school shooting vanished from the headlines. Here’s why: an armed carpenter followed the shooter in and stopped him. No one inside the school was allowed a gun. If it had been a coach or a teacher, they couldn’t have done it. Imagine if no one had stopped him.

Did Bass's greatness consist of ordering a drink on her Ghana junket while LA. burned? Looking out the window on the plane and saying, "Oh. Ocean." It's exactly what Churchill would have done!
Former mayoral candidate Rick Caruso calls Karen Bass "A GREAT LEADER." It's risible merely to have called her "a leader" - but he called her "a great leader." Only one of those 3 words is not absurd: "a."

I'm beginning to lose patience with white South Africans who aren't leaping to seek refuge in the U.S. [Also, I hear the UK will take ANYBODY!]
FARM ATTACK: Another South African farmer attacked and brutally tortured on his farm this week. Cattle farmer, Donovan Marx, from the North West province, had his ears cut off on Wednesday morning during a farm attack. He was also shot in the shoulder and stabbed (with a sharp object) in the leg. And, for the umpteenth time, as far as I can determine, not a single article on any English media platform about it. This gross coverage disparity between the Afrikaans and English media when it comes to farm murders is what makes it possible for so many politicians and commentators to get away with their disgusting farm murder denialism. You know what's even more infuriating? History and research shows, if the victim was black and the torturers were white, we would see this story on every front page and news channel for weeks. Debates, panel discussions, political party statements - the works! The president would even come out and condemn the attack. Again, I refuse to accept the twisted, psychopathic standard that dismisses a farmer having his ears cut off as "just normal crime."

Mattress Girl, the Columbia student who carried a mattress around campus for a year, got her name and photo on the NYT front page without a scintilla of doubt. Why the certainty? The accused was a White male. Then her texts to him came out, and Columbia settled with him.

People love to nitpick Christianity Today but it’s proven time and time again that under Russell Moore’s leadership, it will speak boldly and unafraid, firmly grounded in its deep, abiding faith in Satan.
Christianity Today has seen about half its staff quit or laid off in the last 14 mos. Former employees told me that new business leaders have intervened in editorial decisions & are effectively abandoning the outlet's commitment to independent journalism. nytimes.com/2026/10/21/us/ch…

Back in 2016 Ann Coulter spoke at a Trump rally and made a joke that was like "I'm happier than Lindsey Graham in a fabric store".

When progressives were trumpeting statistics claiming that New York was the safest it had ever been, I insisted the stats were misleading, and that Manhattan felt noticeably more dangerous, that scary encounters with crazy people were becoming more common and that encampments and junkies were everywhere on city sidewalks It turns out what I said is true. Jessica Tisch’s hotspot policing has been extremely successful in reducing crime in the poorest and most violent precincts, but Mamdani’s edicts against public order policing and Alvin Bragg’s insistence on releasing repeat offenders means that crime is surging in Manhattan and reductions in shootings and robberies in the Bronx and East Brooklyn are masking declining public safety and order in Midtown, the Village and the Upper West Side. Any time the statistics contradict the vibes, the vibes are the truth and the stats are a lie.
