Martin Lewis, there is something very, very, very wrong in the system... ๐ก
So โฆ let me get this straight:
* British Gas made a profit of ยฃ1.3bn between January & June
* BP announced profits of ยฃ6.95 billion between April and June alone
* Shell has profited by ยฃ9.4bn in a year
The MEN at the top:
* John Pettigrew, boss of National Grid received ยฃ6.5m bonus on top of his salary
* Chris OโShea, chief executive of British Gas owner Centrica was paid almost ยฃ2m last year in salary and benefits
* Centrica's non-executive directors were paid almost ยฃ1m
* Scottish Power's CEO Keith Anderson is on ยฃ1.15m.
* E.On boss Michael Lewis is on ยฃ1m
* EDF's Simone Rossi is also on ยฃ1m
* And their top execs enjoyed a share of ยฃ4.65m
* Peter Simpson of Anglian Water earned a ยฃ1.3m pay package
* Welsh Water bosses awarded themselves bonuses of over ยฃ930,000
* Severn Trent bosses awarded themselves bonuses of ยฃ5.56m
* Thames Water's Sarah Bentley, received a ยฃ727,000 bonus on top of her ยฃ2m annual salary
Meanwhile there are...
* People who haven't had breakfast and/or lunch TODAY, because they can't afford it.
* People using FoodBanks because food is becoming more of a luxury than a necessity.
* Children celebrating a birthday without presents.
* Parents worrying about new school uniforms - and some schools enforcing rules which are not cost-effective.
* People who can't get to work because they can't afford to put petrol in their cars/pay for public transport anymore.
* People who are working so much they're making themselves ill, and they STILL CAN'T AFFORD to pay their bills.
* People who have been given fines by these same energy/water companies because they couldn't afford to pay their bills in the first place - increasing their debt.
* Customers being told to do STAR JUMPS TO KEEP WARM for crying out loud!
* Hose pipe bans when gallons of water leak away everyday.
* Elderly people NOT DRINKING because they're worried about running out of water!!!
All this and energy prices are set to rise up to 75% in October...
THIS IS MADNESS!.. I'm all for supporting profits โฆ I'm not for supporting greed at the cost of lives of others.
Something needs to change.
Why is customers' money being used to make life more comfortable for those who are making life more intolerable for the rest of us?
I actually don't understand how the energy companies are allowed to get away with this and why the government aren't stopping them instead of handing out money.....
COPIED AND PASTED FROM OTHERS :
PLEASE KEEP IT GOING SO MORE AND MORE GET TO SEE IT .

In celebration of the great Ronnie Barker, who would have been 96 yesterday (I'm late, sorry) I've decided to post his celebrated mispronunciation sketch.
As some of you will know, like many Two Ronnies sketches featuring just Ronnie B, it was written by Barker himself under the pseudonym of Gerald Wiley and is a masterpiece of comedic wordplay.
In case you aren't aware of the story behind Gerald Wiley, Ronnie Barker would bring sketches to rehearsals claiming they had been written by a man called Gerald Wiley who had submitted them through Barker's agent, Peter Eade. So as not to arouse suspicion, Barker would even criticize some of the sketches, going so far as to telling Ronnie Corbett that some of them were poorly written.
The truth was eventually revealed in a Chinese restaurant where, in front of the cast and crew, Barker stood up and admitted he was Gerald Wiley, although many didn't believe him.
Incidentally, while I was writing Richard Briers' authorised biography I came across a set of postcards in Richard's study that had been sent to him by Ronnie Barker. Each one starts with "Now look here!" and have a running theme of Ronnie trying to find Richard a suitable "mental facility" in which he's to be committed!
Anyway, God bless Ronnie Barker.

Meningitis is one a few diseases where your child can be well in the morning and dead by the evening
And if youโd ever seen it happen, you wouldnโt be debating whether to vaccinate or not
Tragic and horrifying

For your information: when Eddie died of meningitis, he didn't have a rash on his body. I discovered after he had died (as I was pulling him from his bed) that he had a rash in his armpits.

Donald Trump says the bombing campaign in Iran has led to "people walking around with no legs". That's yet to be proven, although Trump has shown evidence that people can walk around with no brain

Last year, Farage and his partner bought a house in Clacton, in cash, worth ยฃ885,000.
Nigel told the world he bought it, but when it transpired he didn't pay enough stamp duty (he owns 4 other properties) they said his partner paid and he had lied.
However, she does not have that kind of money so it only raised more questions.
Who paid? Did they dodge tax? Was it Russian money? Was it from the ongoing fraud case in the EU? Was it a bribe?
Considering he could be the next PM, the public have a right to know.
Why is the media silent on this?!
We won't forget Nigel, and we won't let the media forget.

Trumpโs โUkraineโ plan is not a peace plan. Like all his plans it is a grossly 1-sided pact cooked up with a strong man (with commercial deals on the side). It betrays Ukraine, the Western alliance and our most fundamental values. When are we going to admit what is happening?
