New York resident is upset over getting a text message for new free Medicaid work requirements
She says this is “stupid and dumb and f*cking ableist”
She has already called in and found a way around these new requirements because she doesn’t want to work but she wants free healthcare
She says all you need to do is have your doctors write the state a doctors note that says you can’t work and they’ll keep you on the free healthcare…. And I looked into it and it’s actually true. All they have to do is say they have issues like mental health or other impairments and they’ll keep their free health insurance
We are being robbed blind by all these people who just don’t want to work and pretend to have disabilities
This is the reason why people are against universal healthcare.. its the blatant abuse

62 days - Mitch McConnell was loaded into an ambulance on June 14 after being found unconscious at home.
His office gave almost nothing for weeks. Then he finally said it was a fall related to post-polio, mild pneumonia, no heart attack or stroke.
On August 6 he was released from rehab and is supposedly recovering at home with intensive physical therapy.
And still … silence. No public update. No return date. Just statements while the Senate keeps operating without one of its longest-serving members.
Regular Americans get fired for missing work this long.
Constituents in Kentucky deserve more than “I’m engaging with staff.”
At 84, after multiple freezes, falls and now this … the question isn’t just his health it’s whether the people who elect these officials are entitled to transparency and accountability.
Congress isn’t a retirement home for the political class. Show up or step aside.

I was on the tail end of a 500 mile drive back from Omaha yesterday with my 77 year old dad and we nearly had a very serious accident, possibly deadly for the other driver. Look at this older Toyota Corolla blow this light at 60mph more than 3 seconds after it turns red. If it was me driving, because I could not see the Corolla as it was occluded by the stopped cars, we would have had a head on collision or I'm mid-turn and he would have impacted my dad's side of my @cybertruck. Thankfully @tesla FSD was doing the driving and it has superhuman reaction to brake pedal application time (aka PRT = perception response time) of about 0.25s while very good human is 0.8-0.9s or average human is 1.5-2.5s. This is life saving technology and it may have saved one yesterday.

At 65, I’ve become an anomaly.
I’m conservative, but gay.
I’m black, but I don’t fit into any of THEIR boxes.
I don’t obsess over slavery, racism, oppression, or reparations.
I don't whine about victimhood or how everything in America negatively affects me.
And I voted for Trump because he offered me more than any democrat ever has.
He offered to love my country and make it GREAT AGAIN.
That's what I voted for.
Because I’m just an American who wants to see his country remain the best in the world.
And nothing Donald Trump has ever said made me afraid to vote for him.
If he could run again, I’d vote for him again.
Because let’s be honest:
He’s a better president than any of the last 3 democrats we’ve had...
...or whoever they will crap out in 2028.
