As standards got tougher in 2026, Cybertruck is the only pickup with both an IIHS Top Safety Pick+ Award AND NHTSA 5-star safety rating

I get stopped at least 4 or 5 times a week in parking lots.
Same convo every time
Yes I love this vehicle. Best thing Iāve ever driven. Yes I can drive on road trips. Yes itās got a āfull tankā every day I wake up. No Iām not worried about the battery blowing up. Yes it drives itself. You should go test one out. You wonāt go back to gas.
3 Yellowstone winters
The number one question I get asked about Cybertruck other than range is āhow does it do in the snow?ā Going in to my third Yellowstone winter with it, I donāt know that anything else handles better in the snow.
Traction control is so reactive and slips are corrected immediately. My previous 4Runner was terrible at starting from a stop. Even with snow tires in 4WD it would spin tires and fishtail.
Charging overnight and preconditioning in the morning is amazing. Snow and ice slides off easily, so you never need to scrape sheets of ice. Cabin heat is near instant throughout the day, even after sitting for a while. Wiper and mirror heaters work great.
Tires matter more than anything else, and Iāve been using the Blizzak LT for a third season now. They donāt wear any faster than any other vehicle Iāve had them on.
Since I donāt have a wrap now, thereās no worry about scratching paint with the snow brush, which is something Iāve done.

Tesla Cybertruck owner says a large tree trunk fell on his truck, leaving only minor marks that wiped off.
A Texas owner returned from an appointment to find a tree trunk leaning against his Cybertruckās rear quarter panel.
Sentry cameras captured the incident. Despite the impact, the owner reported only minor marks that wiped right off. He simply removed the trunk and carried on with his day, without even contacting the building owner.
An impressive example of Cybertruckās stainless steel durability.

Hutto, Texas City Council has directed staff to compare costs for a three-vehicle test of @Tesla Cybertrucks for the Hutto Police Department, after Council member Jerrel Reynolds bought one in April and found its fuel and maintenance costs to be low.
The Las Vegas Police Department has 10 Cybertrucks in its fleet (pictured below), Reynolds said, and he suggested the city reach out to that department for more information.
āI think this is the future," Mayor Mike Snyder said.
Each Police Cybertruck is expected to save the Las Vegas PD $9,500 a year in fuel and maintenance costs alone. It's the #1 most American-made police truck.

For those not aware, NASA certified the Cybertruck as an Astronaut Emergency Egress Vehicle, allowing SpaceX to replace their aging MRAPs.
If something goes wrong on the pad, the crew needs to get as far away as possible, as quickly as possible, and Cybertruck provides that speed and protection.
A NASA spokesperson said that both the agency and SpaceX "assessed the capability of the vehicle for all situations that would be encountered in an emergency and found that the Cybertruck met NASAās requirements."
