I'm proud of all that the citizens of Hanover County did to try to stop the book banning/removal policy from being enacted.
I'm deeply disappointed & disturbed by the words & votes of 5 Hanover School Board members Axselle, May, Ikenberry, Redd, & Sutton to ban & remove books.

There are more layers to this situation, btw. Having to do w/alliances bet Axselle & Admin, unscrupulous behind-the-scenes promotions & raises, and resource allocation (there's never enough funding for our schools in Hanover but plenty for outside counsel for Axselle's defense).
What a mess, esp since the Hanover BOS appoints SB members.
It would restore some public confidence in our SB if after doing so many wrong things, Mr. Axselle would just do one right thing and step down. Not to mention he's been on the SB for 25+ years.
