#5 will be what gets you a paycheck. Hop on the rollercoaster, it's fun, I swear.
12 months of progress on the jagged frontier:
1) AI got spikier, not rounder.
2) Maths, fluid reasoning, expert work: past human level.
3) There is almost no middle ground. Once a capability crosses human level, it often quickly becomes 100x+ cheaper than a human.
4) Cost keeps decreasing after capability increases stop. Language and knowledge look saturated but price keeps falling.
5) The gaps are not a budget issue. Human-level memory, self-monitoring and long-run planning are not for sale at any price.
AI is now a superhuman specialist that is sub-human at running itself.
Super intelligence, as you've been pointing out, is about how far it extends our reach, not in how far it exceeds it.

The increase clinic computational power is measurable though... and its tens of millions of times greater than what it was just the years ago.
We need to go deeper into the vote-ception...
I’m voting straight ticket Republican for the midterms.

Gentlemen, allow me to give you a shorthand on how to explain to women the importance of bodycount to men.
Her: Why does body count matter? It's the past.
Him: If a man asked you out and you knew he had abandoned his wife and children to get eaten by a bear just to save himself would that color your opinion of him?
And she'll know exactly what you mean. She might argue. She might hem, she might haw, but she will instantly understand the point you're making. But if she's especially thick, or "trying" to misunderstand simpy state it clearly..
The male equivalent of slut isn't "male slut", it's coward and how women feel about malebitch cowardly men is how men feel about slutty women.
Some women will still date a man they know is weak, or cowardly, but (outside of some fetish) she will never prefer it, just like some men will tolerate a slutty skanky girl but (outside of some kink or fetish) he'll never prefer it.

I LOVE it! May you slurp with joy. :)
My new favorite mug arrived. Here it is fresh from the packaging (hence some of the dust).
It came out beautifully. Thanks @BlackDumpling

This might be the first new romantic music I've heard in years and any woman who tells you otherwise is lying her ass off. Or she's a skank. There's no middle ground. Tell me you wouldn't slow dance to sounds like this all night long.

"What is "Per Capita to White Men, where even when it's perfectly explained they still don't seem to get it?"
Me: "They project their natures on other ethnicities."
White Men in Comments, despite trillions of dollars and decades of evidence to the contrary:
"No we don't."
Me:
Other ethnicities. White males have ENORMOUS difficulty in not projecting their nature onto others and so will always do so to some degree or another. They seem almost incapable of grasping that difference. And they THINK they know, but they rarely do.
If you think I'm wrong, and if you're a White fella I just know ya do, ask yourself just how much of your suffering... how much of your blood and treasure, as a person, as a culture, as a genetically distinct group of people, has been spent with the expectation that they are as you are.
That if you just spent more, if you just tried harder, if you just found a way, if you just did this, if you just did that that the outcome would be different because if if they're not YOU that they're enough *like* you that there's a bridge that could be crossed.
And you might be like "Well, we spent an awful lot, but we learned eventually..." and THAT RIGHT THERE is an example of how different you are because they would have NEVER done that for you. Never, not once, not in all of history.
The *started* with the assumption that they would never do that for you, and they never have, but it's taken you decades and trillions to JUST NOW come to that realization, and most of you *still* don't get it.
You think I'm insulting you but I'm not, it's an extremely powerful gift.. it allows you to create and maintain a powerful high trust society.
But it's also extremely exploitable by bad actors.
And just like Per Capita people have a hard time wrapping their head around that *you* have enormous difficulty wrapping your head around this even though it is the most blatant and exposed truth of the modern era with evidence constant and everywhere all the time.
"Well, I GOT it." I'm sure you did, eventually. But you didn't start there, didja? Nope. It had to virtually be beaten into you against your will by people who pushed so unbelievably hard that eventually they started straight up committing atrocities before it started to sink in
That, my lovely and beloved White men is your per capita.
You think others are just as noble as you are, and outside of a few very unique examples, they just aren't.
Collectivism fails when you run out of other people's money. Democracy fails when you run out of other people's virtue.

Which one of these former Venezuelan Dictators would you describe as the "Super" Maduro brother:
Anyway, artificial car, artificial couch, artificial refrigerator, artificial shelter, artificial this, artificial that. Artificial Mario.
When a thing becomes exponentially better at doing the thing we very often temper its adjective to reflect this.
Such is the case here. Is it artificial? Yes, and this worked as a moniker because it was both simplistic and fundamentally inferior to humans in every single way that mattered.
This is no longer true.
Replying to @BlackDumpling
Yes and you would have the right to do that, but because
>everything humans make is artificial
Calling it artificial intelligence is more accurate, and not at all subjective like ‘Is my flying leg better than the leg that I used to have’.
Apply Topically retweeted
Outside of food and other humans, everything humans make is artificial.
But let's consider a test...
Let's say you lost your legs in a car accident, and you get them replaced. Except your new legs allow you to literally fly. They have rockets built in. You can cruise comfortably, with a helmet and visor on, at about 120 miles an hour for about ten hours a day with perfect control. Sure, it's artificial, but it's also super and it's important to differentiate between the two when discussing the subject.
More to the point the comparison itself isn't fair to the SI, as right now Grok can process information about a thousand times faster than a human being and can do so *for millions of human beings at the same time*.
"Artificial Intelligence" could plot a map in google maps, do numbers on your calculator, spell check. "Super Intelligence" has access to virtually all information everywhere all at once, connected to millions of nodes, and can respond with not just reasonable but actionable and intelligent answers to myriad questions from "What does this growth on my dog look like to you?" to "Let's play Dungeons and Dragons" to "make this funky fresh fairy soul sister" and then do so, often almost instantaneously.
Is it a collection of all of mankind's knowledge? In large part, sure, but it's also capable of remarkably powerful action. And yeah, it has blind spots, but your "artificial leg" does too (does it feel it when I kick you in the shin?) but if it could also fire like an M249 SAW you'd start calling it "My Machine Gun Leg" right quick.
Replying to @BlackDumpling
It’s artificial because it’s not human, and it’s not better than human intelligence, it’s a collection of everything that humans essentially discovered.

On this Elon and I agree. Super Intelligence is a better descriptor anyway.
Throughout history we have utilized tools that expanded human capabilities beyond our own.
It was only a matter of time before we did so with intelligence as well.
Consider every single invention...
They ALL do what Super Intelligence does. Your microscope, telescope, automobile, airplane, radio.
The rock. And no, I don't mean rock music. I mean picking up a rock and using it expands the range of human capability.
This is no different.

Why didn't Jane Hoe's Cornell Sorority convince her she was SA'D rather than just kick her out?
Because if they had kicked her out then Jane would immediately claim SA status and THEN the Sorority would've thrown out a victim of SA *for being SA'd*.
Imagine the optics on that.
It's all very political. At every step of the way, assuming this story is true and it wasn't just Jane doing what Jane does (namely make VERY poor life choices), her sisters examined the political ramifications, the loss of status, all of it.
And then measured what JANE would do if she had to actually suffer consequences of her own choices.
Publicly burning a couple men at the stake was infinitely more acceptable to these women than either risking their social status with such a gang bang shaped black mark OR risking the wrath of an aggrieved hoe with an internet connection, a Tiktok account and a penchant for making life choices directly after snorting special K off Members Only tentacles.
Yeah, this was a foregone conclusion if ever there was one.
Replying to @SaysSimulation
TriDelt is usually a top tier sorority and your analysis of the members is probably true. But why didn’t they just throw her out? My sorority did that to a member after a similar event. But that was many years ago. Is it that in 2026, the girls can’t give up the narrative that random sex is empowering? Instead, go with the “men are evil oppressors” narrative and then she isn’t responsible.

I'm perty rootin' tooty positive that Nikki Haley knew Trump was going to get shot, and her plan ONLY works if he dies. But you could see what she was upto during the primaries if you look at how... weird she was acting.
Haley stayed in the race LOOOOONG after it was clear she had no chance of winning. None at all. Why?
Think about it. She had to acquire a commanding lead in the delegate count as the runner up. Why? Because then she becomes the presumptive nominee. She maintains all the momentum of about 100 delegates, which was something like ten times what Ron Desantis had.
So, Trump dies, she becomes the Presumptive and she wins against Biden, because Biden doesn't drop out. Why would he? The goal is to put her in office.
Haley is a Neocon through and through. Hell her PRIMARY source of income for a long time was "United Against a Nuclear Iran"...
"The group, which has lobbied for military strikes on Iran, is advised by Zohar Palti and Tamir Pardo, two former Israeli intelligence officials, as well as many former U.S. national security officials. The Department of Justice previously intervened in a lawsuit to prevent the disclosure of United Against a Nuclear Iran's donors, claiming that doing so would "cause harm to national security."
Haley also works as a consultant to Prism Global Management, a New York-based investment fund run by Richard Kang, a position that earned $708,335. While the investment fund has no substantial online presence, Kang is active in the defense world and serves as an advisor to America’s Frontier Fund, a new group backed by former Google chief executive Eric Schmidt and run day-to-day by Gilman Louie, the former head of In-Q-Tel, the CIA’s venture capital arm."
Yeah, it's why Trump's shooting got just as memory holed as much as everything else.

I don't think Nimrata wins but we'll be able to tell after the results of the governor's race in Ohio
If Vivek doesn't win then Nimrata had no chance, if he does then it's still iffy (since Vivek is openly MAGA-allied in a rhetorical sense and Nimrata ran as anti-MAGA)
Apply Topically retweeted
He does alright, but he gets the most important ingredient (post shooting) wrong.
We'd be looking at two terms of President Nikki Haley right now with Ted Cruz (most likely) as her VP.
And we would DEFINITELY be in WW3 right now.
