TBF, any game that releases day 1 on Game Pass is going to have lower sales numbers. Would the removal of flagship games like Gears or Halo from Game Pass provide better results in sales or is there other underlying reasons these games aren't selling like they used to?
The Verge: Gears of War: E-Day has sold more than 400K copies across Xbox and PC

So many people keep lamenting the loss of Bioware while referencing games from decades ago. Baldur's Gate, KOTOR, Neverwinter Nights, even the original Mass Effect trilogy just to name a few. The last 3 games that Bioware produced were commercial failures. If you liked any of those games that is ok too, but they were failures commercially. I actually enjoyed Andromeda and liked some aspects of Anthem, but I also recognize that they both had their issues and fell short.
Bioware was given a lot of grace for a studio that continuously underperformed for over a decade and those games that you keep mentioning with nostalgia, the people that made those games left Bioware a long time ago.
I really don't get the hate for Mags in E-Day.
She’s endured her fair share of loss, and her anger toward the COG makes total sense given how they operate. She isn’t some pandering trope—she’s a person shaped by the brutality of the world around her.
Turns out she actually fits the universe just fine.
43 hours played and the game was not good. Putting the Taash stuff aside, the writing was lazy and uninspired and ignored large parts of the lore from the previous games. The characters were very one-dimensional (did you know that Lucanis likes coffee?) with very little character development and just all around boring.
Seeing a lot of discourse over Emiru's response to be asked about ICE and I'll be honest, talking about politics in any way on stream is the fastest way to get me to leave a stream. It is always hostile no matter which stance they take and just kills the vibe.
Even though IRL, Just Chatting, etc. streams were around before it, I truly feel like Covid irrevocably broke not just Twitch, but livestreaming in general. Everyone was on lockdown and decided to start streaming and only a handful of them were gamers. Such a huge influx of people changed the scene for better or worse and there is just no going back at this point. It's unfortunate that this happened on Twitch as it was a safe haven for gamers to stream. Maybe it was inevitable, but it sucks that gamers don't really have a place to livestream anymore that they can call their own.

Those of us that are in this game, know the time that is spent on our content.
Spending an extra 10 seconds to show some love goes a long way. 🤘🏻
Shocked to hear about Ozzy Osbourne today. Dude just did his last concert a few weeks ago. RIP to a rock legend.
$10k a month and you spend half of that on travel every month?!
Meanwhile the median income in the US is $80,000, around $6500 a month.
This is extremely irresponsible spending. No one should be spending half of their monthly income to travel EACH month.

Expeditioners,
Earlier this year, our Collector’s Edition sold out way faster than we expected. We know a lot of you missed out, so we’ve spent the time since then putting something together with @Laced_audio.
Presenting: the Monolith Set.
It includes all the physical merch from the Collector’s Edition, just without the base game and downloadable cosmetics. That means the Steelbook case, Monolith music box, and Expedition Journal Artbook are all in there.
We’re able to offer it at a lower price: £99.99 / $119.99. If you're located in France, you'll be able to purchase from @Pixnlove to benefit from lower shipping costs.
Due to the ongoing tariff situation between the US and China, shipping costs to the US will be higher to account for potential charges at delivery, and US customers may incur additional import duty.
To help combat scalpers, we’re also limiting purchases to two per customer.
Pre-orders open tomorrow and will close on Thursday, 12th June at 11am EDT / 8am PDT. Full details will be available on the product page!
We’re so excited to get these into your hands. Thank you for the support — and for making this possible.
Going through some old screenshots and found this gem from 2013 when I was just a baby Arcanist (no job stone yet) hanging out with Topaz Carbuncle in Gridania. Simpler times, before I realized how much this game would control my life. 😂
