We have lost the ability to speak to each other.
Now it's all about owning one side or the other. No discussion, no nuance, no attempt at understanding each other or agreeing to disagree without insults being hurled left right and center.
It's all just echo chambers now.

Hey @SimuLiu! We know you've said you're not involved in Mass Effect Universe, despite fans noticing your resemblance to the trailer's protagonist.
But we also know you're a huge Mass Effect fan...
Would you help us support the cause? #SaveMassEffect needs you! 🔥

What a decent chunk of the Male Shep people wanted to see:
+ side of finally kicking that stupid Starkid to the curb: YOU CAN DO IT!
Mass Effect Continues!
Because unlike Casey Hudson? Geth and ME1 backdoors make this possible.

Joe Rogan is horrified as Steve Hilton reveals where the 330,000 migrant kids Biden lost actually ended up.
ROGAN: “Holy f*ck!”
HILTON: “The way Bobby puts it is that Becerra turned HHS into the largest child trafficking operation in history.”
A caseworker told Hilton they were ordered to ignore obviously fake IDs and get the kids out the door as fast as possible.
Their directive was “Speed over safety.” If something happens to the kids, so be it.
One girl was put on a plane, handed off to three strange men, and forced to work 20 hours a day.
ROGAN: “Oh my God, it’s shocking. That’s so evil.”
The kids were given a hotline to call if they were in danger. The problem was getting anyone to answer.
HILTON: “There were 65,000 unanswered calls to the hotline.”
And the people who flagged it? “FIRED.”
ROGAN: “It doesn’t even seem like it could be real.”
When Bobby Kennedy Jr. previously described what happened to these kids, he called it a “huge, huge tragedy.”
KENNEDY: “One guy pretended to be the parent of 42 children. We have no idea what happened to those kids.”
“There was about 60 kids who were sent to one address. When we looked at that address, it was a container, a steel container in the middle of a parking lot.”
“A lot of them were sent to work at slaughterhouses and picking fruits in the fields. They were slaves.”
“It’s a huge, huge tragedy. My agency [under Biden] was the single biggest child trafficker in the world.”
And now Xavier Becerra, the man who presided over all of it, wants to be governor of California.
Steve Hilton is running against him.

We certainly have the power too. But I think we should take the diplomatic approach in this situation. We just want to see @EA @EAPlay @EASPORTSFC @EAStarWars @EASPORTS allow @GambleMike @bioware to make the game. Or sell the IP. They need to do something!

Hey @ea, have you seen this?
Look at how good it looks. I'm sure this would've been a success. I think you should revive it. It's a win-win situation.

I've been asked numerous times how much a Mass Effect fan can expect to like Exodus, and while I've played it TWICE now, I've still found it difficult to put into words, but here I go;
Exodus is very Mass Effect-coded, yet different.
The atmosphere has exactly the type of cozy sci-fi feel that makes you want to explore the stars, much like Mass Effect 1 has. The sound design really makes a huge impact here, so a BIG shoutout to the audio & music team at Archetype.
Then there's this cinematic scale to it that feels epic & grand, yet personal - not unlike Mass Effect 2 & 3. There's a ton of cinematic dialogue scenes that are just on another level.
An apt way to describe it would be "blockbuster level", as I've yet to see an RPG that puts this much effort into camera placement, character movements and animations during dialogue scenes.
Speaking of dialogue, I enjoy the Paladin/Immortal choices a lot. Absolutely has that Paragon/Renegade feel to it - And I really like the idea of it affecting your overall build.
While I haven't engaged with all the companions, what I have seen are the "seeds" of what could possibly become deep emotional attachments that leads to heartbreak due to the element of time dilation (which, again, I haven't seen fully yet).
The game generally takes itself very seriously, with just enough goofy elements that it becomes charming rather than cringey. If you've actually played the Mass Effect trilogy, KOTOR or Dragon Age: Origins, then you'll know what I mean.
The moment-to-moment gameplay feels crunchy yet smooth, and while I'd like to see more weapon alternatives, the Recycler (your transforming rifle) works surprisingly well. Bomber Mode is definitely my favorite setting. What can I say, I love explosions 🧨🤷♂️
Finally - The setting and lore is really what separates Exodus from not just Mass Effect, but everything else really.
There are so many unique & "out-there" elements, like the Awakened Animals, Celestials, Changelings (basically aliens), Mortal Gifts, Artifacts and so much more - elements that flesh out the universe of Exodus into something entirely it's own.
Some of it is bizarre. Some of it is shocking. Some of it is wondrous. All of it feels enormous.
And that's why I can't get my hands on Exodus again.
(this is NOT a review, only first impressions from someone who's played Exodus twice, and the Mass Effect trilogy atleast 20+ times through the years)
