The CPC has just gotten that much thinner on decent MPs within the party.
I have made the difficult decision to resign my seat following the conclusion of the fall parliamentary session. After 30 years of public life, it is time for a new chapter where I will explore new opportunities. From being elected to Huntsville Town Council and Muskoka District Council at the age of 21, to serving as Mayor of Huntsville and, for the past seven years, as your Member of Parliament, it has been the honour of my lifetime to serve you and represent our community. Whether it was in the council chambers, or the halls of Ottawa, I worked to build consensus, cut through the bureaucracy, and make life better for the people who placed their trust in me. I carried myself with the same values of the town that raised me: respect, decency, and looking out for your neighbour. My time as Shadow Housing Minister has allowed me to contribute to a fundamental shift in the national debate on housing. All levels of government have recognized the burden over regulation and excessive taxes and fees place on housing affordability. Our Conservative team can be proud of the work we have done on this file and I know the team will continue this work after my departure. To the people of Parry Sound–Muskoka who placed their trust in me, and those who I disagreed with but promised passionate representation to, I hope I have made you proud. I want to thank my incredible staff who have served me and the people of Parry Sound–Muskoka with distinction. None of this would have been possible without you. To my caucus colleagues and Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre, it has been a privilege to serve alongside you. I have been fortunate to meet Canadians from coast-to-coast who are counting on us to champion efforts to make life more affordable for all Canadians. I know you will continue this mission. Sincerely, Scott Aitchison, M.P.

The CPC needs a complete rebranding, and that means having someone from outside the party currently to take over; and then clean house.

The list of things I could come up with that I wouldn't my taxes going towards would be staggering.
People will call you all kinds of names, foaming at the mouth, for the right to kill themselves. Go ahead, I don't want my taxes paying for it though.

The Canadian dream. 🇨🇦 A kid who grew up on his family farm, on a dirt road in rural Ontario, with no family political connections, can become a member of the Executive Council of Ontario. It is an honour to be asked by Premier @fordnation to serve as Associate Minister of Energy-Intensive Industries. Thank you to Minister @samoosterhoff for his leadership on this file. I have big shoes to fill. I’m looking forward to working closely with my friend, the Honourable @Sflecce, Minister of Energy and Mines, to build the next generation of made-in-Canada energy, attract investment, create good-paying jobs and power the most competitive economy in the G7. I’m grateful for the opportunity and ready to get to work.

If only it made sense to them 10 plus years ago.
My god how far we have come as a country in just over a year…a Liberal saying: “In the world we need to live in - not in a magical world - in the world as it is not as we wish it to be, this is the most productive way to be a clean and conventional energy superpower and it makes complete sense to do that.”

We’re building the most competitive economy in the G7 through our plan to cut red tape, lower taxes and protect workers. Since 2018, this plan has supported more than 1 million new jobs and $235 billion in investment coming to Ontario from around the world.

In 2018, the Ford PCs received 40% of the popular vote in the Ontario general election. In that election, the Ford PCs got 29% of the votes in HESC and came a distant 2nd place. In 2022, the Ford PCs received 41% of the popular vote in the Ontario general election. In that election, the Ford PCs got 35% of the votes in HESC and won the riding by 7-points over the ONDP. In 2025, the Ford PCs received 43% of the popular vote in the Ontario general election. In that election, the Ford PCs got 42% of the votes in HESC and won the riding by 11-points. Last night, the Ford PCs got 39% of the votes in HESC and won the riding by 6-points. Sure, we can debate whether the former Minister was more popular than the new MPP (or not). But in York Simcoe, Mulroney was more popular than our new MPP (not debatable) and yet the new MPP got 50% of the votes and only 9-points less than the former Minister in 2025. Anyway, the Ford PCs are polling over 40%, not the 36% you suggest. Thanks for playing! 🙏
This would imply a provincial ballot today of PC 36 OLP 34 NDP 23 GPO 5 That’s actually fairly close to what @LiaisonCanada had in latest last week #cdnpoli #onpoli

Congratulations to the newest members of our Ontario PC team, Susan Lahey and @votejeffbeattie. Voters have backed a team that will stand up to tariffs, protect our workers and invest in the services and infrastructure that Ontario families are counting on. I also want to congratulate @drnoortarunpc, who is a champion for his community, on a hard-fought campaign in Scarborough Southwest.

If true, that's straight up theft and she should resign immediately.
Liberal MP Idlout, who left the NDP to join Mark Carney, has been found by the Ethics Commitmssion to break the ethics laws under the Conflict of Interest Code for MPs. > she made purchases at her own store then had taxpayers reimburse her. > she stayed at her husband's Bed and Breakfast at the expense of taxpayers. The worst part? She knew it is a violation A 2022 advisor's note records that she was specifically told she couldn't buy gifts from her gallery with her office budget, and was "very much aware of this."

Went to Navdeep Bains candidate page and found this. That's nearly word for word to what a certain conservative politician keeps saying during his campaigns.

What's the over and under of Pierre's longevity if they fail to win at least one of the by-elections?

I was asked what I'm hearing from MPs and Conservatives these days. Immigration, social cohesion. Crime and public safety, open-air drug use. The cost of living, housing. Younger Conservatives, and Canadians, want to focus on these issues to win.

Thank you to the 50 U.S. senators from both parties who passed @SenTimKaine’s resolution to end American tariffs on Canada. I’m thrilled to see senators work across party lines in support of a stronger economy on both sides of the border.

This is a political fight using economic tools. The US administration understands that. Premier Ford understands that. Too many Canadian commentators do not.
