Ant’s IPO is based on fantasy projections:
.@econJaredB and I wrote about Anthropic's IPO. To justify a $2T valuation, they would need to have revenue in 2031> $500B, which is 14x greater than Google's revenues 5 years after their IPO and more than twice Meta's current revenue.
this is a must read by a great thinker about a great thinker.

The fact that @davidzmorris still has to tweet “AI is just software” every day reminds us that elites in America can be slow learners.
Repeating for the folks who did not get it the first 34 times: AI is just software.
Thank you.

Everywhere you look these people are using government to force others to give up their property from copyright safe harbors to eminent domain taking of homes like @Ansleysgarden. Somebody needs to get unelected over it and this may be the election when it happens.
Handing copyrighted work to AI companies for AI training could amount to an "acquisition of property by government," breaching the Australian constitution.
Couldn't agree more. Whatever the constitution says, it is common sense that people's life's work isn't the Australian government's to give away to billionaire US tech barons.

Something I discovered two years ago when researching "black starts" - which is what you need to do when the entire grid has gone down - for @TheCriticMag is that the models exist on Excel spreadsheets.
Relax everyone. We are in good hands. They have thought of everything.

Basically Meta is saying if you use their services at a professional capacity, they have the right to use and profit from any material of yours located anywhere on the internet. Insane.
