After ORES denied the Shepherd’s Run Solar permit in Copake, New York, over floodplain compliance issues, it was discovered that Fort Edward Solar is another ORES-permitted project with the same FEMA Zone A flood designation within its project footprint.
We (American Land Rescue Fund) went ahead and had the FEMA floodplain map overlaid on the Fort Edward Solar project map.
These materials are not compiled or released by the foreign solar corporations or New York State.
Why? They don’t want you to see this map… it shows the insanity behind the siting of these solar complexes.
On top of the fact an inverter will be located inside a floodplain, this solar complex is sited for one of the last grasslands of its kind (the Washington County Grasslands) throughout the entire Northeast. A significant amount of state-endangered and threatened birds, raptors, animals, and plants live here.
Based off the precedent just set in Copake, NY, it’s time to relinquish the permit to Fort Edward Solar.
I won’t stop until the grasslands are freed.

Texas is staring down an 11-gigawatt AI data center campus in the Panhandle.
Project Matador has already secured a state permit for 6 gigawatts of natural-gas power generation.
A project this massive raises serious questions about the strain on Texas water, power, and rural communities.
Though currently paused, if restarted it could start draining resources and harming communities in the panhandle.

I am not an A.I. doomer, in fact I’m excited about all the ways it can help humanity.
what a great mom!
Yesterday, I had the very special honour of singing “O Canada” 🇨🇦 alongside my son, Blu, at the Apple Bowl.
Blu was very nervous before we began. I told him, “I’ll be right there beside you. And if you make a mistake, just keep going.” ❤️
This was only his second time singing publicly, and sharing that moment with him—standing side by side and singing our national anthem here in his hometown of Kelowna—is something I’ll treasure for a very long time. 🍁
A heartfelt thank you to Eric Stansfield, everyone at the Apple Bowl, and the Okanagan Sun Football team for inviting us to perform. It was truly an honour to be part of the day. 🙏🏼🇨🇦❤️
And thank you to our friend Eric for capturing this video and giving us such a beautiful keepsake of the moment.
O Canada 🇨🇦🍁
