I can’t stop thinking about Jason Arday and about how shamed, humiliated and embarrassed he must have felt. Three days ago the Guardian was still carefully dismantling his claim that he had been non-verbal as a child like it even matters in the grand scheme of things. What stayed with me was that even the people contradicting him described a boy who sang songs and always wanted to entertain. That detail feels important. People who fabricate, embellish or tell little white lies are rarely monsters. More often they are vulnerable, insecure, and quietly convinced they are not enough. That makes me very sad. He was vulnerable and very cornered.

The reason to have compassion for all living beings is that life is precious and beautiful, and all living beings are expressions of that precious beauty. Once you see you, a disabled dog, and a spider are animated by the same desire for life, you'll have beauty and awe daily.

You know what... This might be a little bit of a doxx but I don't care. My doggo made me so damn proud today. A druggy decided to hop the fence to my backyard. And I told him to get off my property. He decided to try to argue with me for about a minute and not do anything. This good girl was right next to me the whole time. Let out a couple of barks but other than that, nothing. Then I told her to go get him and she went without question. She needed just a tiny bit of reassurance but once given then she made sure to protect our house and family. I couldn't be a more proud dog dad than I am today.

As a proud American let me be the first to congratulate Belgium. You guys were the far superior team. Granted I can’t tell if you guys are any good cause we are so pathetic but you beat us fair and square. Now in hindsight doesn’t all the bellyaching about Balogun playing seem silly?
