My letter to Mark Levin after his negative comments about people checking out Russia on Social Media....
Dear Mark,
Influencers, yes, social media surely has changed the world we live. For me, especially how I look at the big Russian Boogeyman, which you commented on last night.
First off lets describe me. 73 y/o white male of Italian / Polish decent living in a $2M home in N. Snottsdale, AZ. Registered Rep and PC in Dist 4 AZGOP. Volunteer at a Christian food bank 2 days / week. Avid Zumba dancer with an Israeli Jewish "dance wife". One time Posse guy under Joe Arpaio, BACA rider. Single. Veteran, retired health care Exec. Christian conservative. I have been called "hero" once or twice.
So I think I do not fit your image of a typical loser guy surfing 'life in Russia' X posts. But I am. The reason is when I look at the videos posted by non professional "news" types, I see people like me enjoying life with no crime, no Muslim gangs, no violent hoards of blacks, no innocent white women being raped at will with endless forgiveness by left wing judges, press and politicians. No hate filled racist blacks openly preaching hate against whites with no accountability. In short, I see the world I once lived in 30 years ago.
BTW I do follow you and enjoy the education I get. I refer you as "my Rabbi" actually. I had a real one once in very special non denominational church I went to up in Denver. I read your books. 99% of the time I agree with you. But on this we differ.
Following Putin and Russia for some time now I see Putin as a man much like DJT, whom I admire greatly. A man unashamedly fighting for his country that he dearly loves. And why not? A man who is fighting a war to WIN for his country. And why not? A man of deep orthodox faith. And why not?
I see a Russia that like the Poland of my ancestors has fought hard to remain Russia. A country with a long, beautiful history and heritage. A country plagued by Stalin as we were plagued by Obama and Biden. Would I want Russians to judge me by what they see in Hillary Clinton? Obama / Biden? The degenerates of Hollywood and the entertainment world? But under Stalin and the USSR boys the little people, people like me, still look to live life left alone to simply be happy as best we can.
We do not run with elite as you do Mark. We are not wealthy as you are. We are the 'flyover" people that make up your audience. But you do not speak to us. So in this I have much in common with the Russian people making cell phone videos the part of their lives in a country they love. And I have kinship with them.
Like Ronald Regen when he said the Dem party left him, I feel my country has left me. Mosques going up unchallenged by the thousands. Sexually perverted teachers indoctrinating our children in public schools. Judges letting career criminals loose to terrorize our women and children. Corrupt and dishonest "news" spreading lies and a left wing agenda. The IRS robbing me of my life's work at every turn. Healthcare that has turned into a cash register, the Medical Industrial Complex? haha.
And god forbid you get caught up in the Police - Legal Industrial Complex and watch your life savings and your peace of mind vanish.
So when I see pictures of the safe and serene town squares, the simple, happy people living live. The clean, uncluttered subways public spaces of Russia I think yes, this Putin is an OK guy and is doing his best to provide a safe and healthy world. Safe from the Neo Fascist Zelensky, the perverted war monger Hillary Clinton, the perverted and degenerate Western Europe and the USA. And of course dealing with the complexity of oil, China, Ai, and all the rest of the normal challenges a President faces.
So there you have it. A little background of one man who is following Russia on social media. Not just Russia, but also Poland, Japan, others. I hope it helps you to put things in perspective.
I am too old to move to Russia and learn a Slavik language. But I would advise any young person to seriously consider that option.
