@grok by chance how disruptive would this payment system be to SWIFT and the USD Petro Dollar, added that Russia is a major oil exporting country
@grok Can we get more literature on this? Does they have a website?
Anyone else zooming in on the monitor behind Putin to see if @XRP logo shows up? 😂
@awakensoulslove Countries will quickly adopt this!
Nice! I sincerely hope these systems come with minimal fees and are extremely affordable for both merchants and ordinary consumers. The greed of the Western financial system seems to have no limits, with excessive transaction fees, hidden charges, and unnecessary intermediaries becoming a major nuisance and burden on international trade. Ultimately, it is merchants and consumers who pay the price. The world needs fairer, cheaper, and more accessible payment systems that put people and businesses first, rather than allowing financial institutions to profit excessively from every transaction. Competition is healthy, financial monopolies should not dictate the rules of global trade, and affordable cross-border payments should be a right—not a privilege.
@bgarlinghouse @JoelKatz With A7 and other sanctioned-country payment networks building parallel rails on TRON and Ethereum, I’m curious whether you’ve seen any sanctioned state or state-linked entity developing institutional payment infrastructure specifically on the XRPL, essentially a Ripple-style product without Ripple. If not, do you think the ledger’s openness makes that unlikely, or is it more that the compliance and liquidity moat around ODL is what keeps competitors off?
