@ILTSJC The most common complication after pediatric LT is T-cell mediated rejection (TCMR, up to 50%!). Immunosuppression needs are highly individualized – some patients can achieve operational tolerance 🥳, and some suffer repeated rejection episodes 😣
Overall, it looked to us that SBs are clinically useful and safe. There may be a survival benefit and we think it is because non-invasive tests perform so poorly in LT and that SBs allow for accurate individualized tailoring of immunosuppression for each patient.
