not sure google knows what a model "release" is
lemme know in 3 weeks when i can use it plz
I did say we'd be releasing our models periodically...introducing Gemini 4 Carbon, our next frontier model.
Following Argon's release just two weeks ago, Carbon shows the pace at which we’re pushing the frontier, it ranks #1 on the recently updated v5.0 of @ArtificialAnlys Intelligence Index at 59. It also leads across key cybersecurity evaluations scoring 88.2% on SEC-bench Pro for finding vulnerabilities, 54.8% on ExploitGym for exploitation, and 71.0% on CWE-bench for patching.
We’re seeing significant improvements in long-horizon tasks even compared to Argon, and we’ve strengthened frontier safeguards.
As we did with Argon, we’re going to roll it out gradually + responsibly. Some trusted cyber defenders will get access starting this week. We'll be expanding it to more partners through our Fairwind Program, ahead of wider availability soon, so hang tight!

I’m shocked that they’re going to get swallowed by larger companies…

Codex 🤝 Tailscale
Codex Cloud can now securely connect to resources on your tailnet with Tailscale.
Useful tools should be easy to build with, combine, and turn into something even more useful.

Sol 6.1 is a great model for most things and ridiculous value
Opus 5.5 is still better at coding and not being lazy
Apparently hot take: these Claude videos are horrible and anxiety producing
I bet your conversions using them are 0

My god this is such a good speech that every SWE needs to hear. You know what? Every person should hear it
Keep the happy memories, eyes on the reality, be excited about the future. That’s the best that anyone can do
let's see how usage responds
Please welcome GPT-6 Sol and GPT-6 Luna to the GPT-6 universe.
GPT-6 Sol and Luna build on the advances behind GPT-6 Astra, bringing much of its strengths into faster and more affordable models to support work at scale.
We’ve also made caching and inference more efficient, and we’re passing the savings directly to you: 50% lower API prices for Sol and Luna compared with GPT‑5.6 promotional pricing.
i built magic-mail: smart search for @OmarchyLinux's omamail using @typesafeai's jev
it also does actually intelligent auto classification and 1-click unsub
ill package it up if there is interest (or omamail steal this and integrate it natively plz)

This was so needed
Starting today, you can connect multiple accounts with most plugins in ChatGPT! 🎉
Bring context from your work and personal accounts into the same conversation. Connect your accounts in the plugin directory: chatgpt.com/plugins
Devs: this works automatically, with no changes needed.
But, to make the experience for users of your plugin even better, add a profile tool to your MCP server so ChatGPT can label the accounts: developers.openai.com/plugin…

ALT Notion plugin in ChatGPT that shows “[email protected]” and “[email protected]” being connected accounts
I had to use windows for 30 seconds while setting up linux … how do you ppl live like that?
Omarchy rips, though
This could be the most important ai release of 2026.
After co-inventing ChatGPT, I kept asking myself: why have superhuman chat models not led to AGI?
I’ve spent the last 2 years in stealth building a new way to train models (RLCD), and a new type of frontier AI model that we are releasing today: Jev
• 20-200x faster
• 40-400x cheaper (w/ output tokens free)
• Frontier composable intelligence optimized for decisions
AFAICT the shortest path to AI-based economic revolution
