Agree - and experienced a lot of
LTC (s) go down that road.
Way back in 2007 I said we are heading for a train wreck when this long war finally ends. A self-inflicted wound.
It doesn’t limited itself to leadership only. It’s bleed over to acquisition; AFU MTOEs, maintaining; sustaining, supply chains and the basics at squad level.
You don’t understand. You think you do, but you don’t.
A great majority of U.S. Army officers are incapable of telling the truth. It is a feature of the system, not a bug.
The higher up they get, the more lies they’ve been willing to tell. Not all, but most.
This has not always been the way of things. This is the GWOT way of things.
If you attempt to speak the truth in a system built on lies, you get attacked like an immune system strikes a virus.
This isn’t me trying to take cheap shots at them. I’ve tried for years to spell this out in elevated prose where applicable.
I can’t best around the bush anymore. Any institution that attacks the truth no longer serves the greater good. It’s merely serving itself.
15-6 investigation will be conducted if it has not already been initiated.
Department of Justice involvement is appropriate for any individuals outside the military chain of command who may be implicated.
Im sure the inquiry should specifically address what information was transmitted, to whom it was transmitted, and the sensitivity of that information regardless of formal classification markings.
I would like to hear LTG Silva’s account of these events. The conduct described appears inconsistent with the character of the officer I knew
While I recognize that people and circumstances can change, his perspective would be valuable.
🤔I make no excuses for what happened but I will state:
A complete and accurate understanding of recent allegations requires looking beyond surface level conclusions. Allegations of misconduct must definitely be investigated thoroughly.
At the same time, the individual concerned is entitled to a full and fair opportunity to respond, present evidence, and address the claims directly.
Due process is not an obstacle to accountability; it is the mechanism that produces reliable judgment rather than reactive assumption.
My position does not endorse, minimize, or excuse any conduct that may be substantiated.
Accountability remains essential. However, when alleged behavior is reported as markedly inconsistent with an officer’s established character, record of service, and prior performance, a responsible review must consider whether combat related medical factors may be relevant to a complete assessment.
General officers with extensive combat experience in Iraq, Afghanistan, and other related operations have operated for years under conditions of repeated high-stress deployments, blast exposure, and cumulative operational tempo.
Fact/Not Opinions: Evidence from military medicine indicates that such exposure is associated with elevated risk of traumatic brain injury, neurocognitive effects, and other mental health conditions that can influence judgment, decision-making, and behaviour even in individuals who previously demonstrated consistent professionalism and high performance.
Documented cases among senior leaders show that these effects can remain unrecognized for extended periods and later manifest in ways that diverge sharply from an officer’s established character.
For these reasons, general officers with significant combat deployment histories should undergo rigorous mental health evaluation, structured TBI/neurocognitive assessment, and appropriate laboratory testing as a matter of institutional policy.
When allegations arise that appear substantially out of character, such evaluations should be conducted and their results considered before final personnel or disciplinary determinations. Medical findings may help explain or contextualize conduct; they do not automatically excuse it.
The purpose is to ensure that judgment rests on a complete factual and medical record rather than incomplete information or premature conclusions.
The reported conduct is described by those 💯 directly familiar with this officer as inconsistent with his prior character and service.
The underlying reasons for any substantiated actions cannot be determined without a full investigation that includes the officer’s opportunity to respond and, where indicated, appropriate medical evaluation.
Sound institutional decisions require this level of rigor.
Anything less risks substituting incomplete or emotionally driven conclusions for evidence-based judgment.
Our military classified information etc.. must remain protected and those who are found guilty - by a thorough investigation must be held accountable regardless of rank.
Great news. Ensure you’re compliant to maintain cardio exercise I.A.W your capabilities.
I wised he would. For the vast majority of Americans- he’s irrelevant

Georgia's next Governor, @KeishaBottoms!
She's focused on lowering healthcare costs and protecting access to care. Bringing down housing costs. Contending with the high costs of everyday needs.
Because she knows that Georgia families deserve more from their Governor. VOTE!

Please help me honor US Army Green Beret Staff Sergeant Logan Melgar.
On June 4, 2017, the 34-year-old engineer sergeant was killed in Mali during a hazing incident by fellow special operators who broke into his room, restrained him, and applied a chokehold that led to his death by asphyxiation.
From Lubbock, Texas, he served with the 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) after enlisting in 2012, completed Special Forces training, and deploying twice to Afghanistan.
Survived by his wife Michelle and their two sons, Melgar was laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery, leaving a legacy of service and a case that exposed serious issues of accountability within elite military units.
Never forgotten.

Tell me those 170 are crooks and aligned with fraud
More than 170 House Democrats just signed a letter demanding the DOJ back off Ilhan Omar.
Led by Pramila Jayapal.
Signed by Jamie Raskin, Bennie Thompson, Robert Garcia.
They call the search of her home "weaponization."
Agents left with boxes of documents and reportedly her DNA, her phone and her PASSPORT.
A federal judge signed that warrant.
No charges yet.
But if there's nothing there, why are 170 Democrats this scared?
