Introducing Creator Success: a new way to get funded to build in Decentraland.
The program is designed to help you move from an early idea to a tested, funded game project.
A big part of that is our new AI Game Design Skills, which help turn a rough concept into a structured Game Design Document (GDD), covering things like your core loop, social play, retention and scope. They can also help you rapidly prototype your idea in Decentraland.
The steps:
💡 Shape your idea with Game Design Skills
📝 Build a clear GDD
💸 Apply for $1,000 in initial funding
🎮 Build, playtest and improve your game
📈 Progress to further funding rounds if the project performs well
Applications are open now.

A year ago, Tempus Impromptu was reimagined in 3D by a Juek studio and brought to life in @decentraland .
Today, I decided to revisit it. 🖤
I genuinely thought it might no longer exist there, but to my surprise, the world was still standing.
The video installation no longer seems to trigger, but I could still walk around inside a place that began years ago with nothing more than my hands, paper and imagination.
Three separate physical drawings, now in different parts of the world, became a single interconnected composition.
From there, the work travelled through digital animation, augmented reality and eventually into a three-dimensional environment you could actually explore.
And somehow, a year later, part of that journey is still alive.
Tempus Impromptu has never found a collector.
I don't sell a lot of my work. That's something I've learned to live with, even if it sometimes weighs on me.
But walking through that world again reminded me that an artwork's journey isn't necessarily measured by how many times it changes hands.
Sometimes it's about the places it reaches, the forms it takes and the little traces it leaves behind.
I won't pretend I'm not proud of that.
Maybe it's a small legacy, but it's mine. 🖤
If you'd like to wander through this strange little world yourself, you can still find it in Decentraland:
📍 Coordinates: -133, -82
And if the video doesn't play, at least you can still get lost in the scenery. 😂🫂 thank you @BayBackner

My Monday morning = reviewing game designs submitted to @decentraland Creator Success.
Lots of ambitious ideas, lots of cool test scenes. Like this one at leined.dcl.eth
Some useful things I learned today. 🧵⬇️

5/ Mobile is becoming a fairly ruthless design filter for me.
If your game needs twelve buttons, three overlapping menus and a detailed explanation, it's not going to flow in DCL.
Some of the strongest game ideas submitted are also the simplest to control.

“Creative privilege” is an interesting concept.
If I understand it correctly, it’s the luxury of having the opportunity to learn through trial and error. To practice, build momentum, gain confidence, and try again. Eventually, you succeed. And that success gives you the confidence to do it again.
But read it for yourself. 👇

I spoke this morning at VDS about AI in creative practice, and I said that AI does not, and will not, democratise creativity.
Quite a few people in the audience talked with me after about this. So, it seems like a good time to start sharing!

Sharing this link is also a step to share with you Creative Privilege (creativeprivilege.com/), a wider project I'm researching and writing in my spare time.

Want to use @decentraland Creator Hub directly with your agent? The MCP config works like freaking magic.
In Creator Hub, click on the top right DCL icon.
Choose: Settings -> AI
Then scroll to "Expose AI assistant MCP server"
Paste the code into your agent. Done.
Thank you @metapaul531 🫡

1/9 The past three months in #Decentraland have been some of the most fun I've had in five years. Today, October 15, marks the end of a personal three-month challenge: explore, build, participate, and discover what's possible. I'm excited about what comes next.
