Young startup founders in India getting disappointed by VCs / Investors.. who don't show up for meetings, don't respond to emails or chats, reject the pitches, or simply pass on your startup?
Wait till you meet Investors who go back on their word, fish info for their investments, do not honour commitments, withdraw termsheets, vanish before signing SHAs, have cold feet on executed agreements, and so on.
Stop crying foul about it, and move ahead with building your business. It's all part of the game you signed up for.
Founders have to win despite all of this, and they do win!

For a very long time, I used to associate leadership with titles - CEO, Managing Director, CXO, Country Manager, etc etc.
Titles do not bring leadership.
They bring power in org, but not respect.
They bring hierarchy, but not ownership.
They bring ideas, but not execution.
They bring promises, but don't keep their words.
They bring command, but not ability to lead.
They bring authority, but not trust.
Have met many zombie leaders over past few years, are leaders by titles, paid in crores but have not delivered anything meaningful for years. Pampered by their designations, for years. Sitting in their corner rooms comfortably, while the world is moving ahead; fast.
If you are aspiring to build a great career, to be a leader..
Be a person of action.
Do something, that adds value.
Irrespective of where you are in the organisation, at the top, or even at the bottom.
You will eventually fly.

@RaiseTheBarHQ has always believed on "Build" vs buy.
When I first joined the organisation back in April 2021, my first task was to build the onboarding stack from scratch. This allowed us to eventually be ready with the fastest onboarding journey for our trading and investing platform @DhanHQ .
We eventually went on to be one of the first trading platforms to build our own order management system (DEXT) as well.
This philosophy extended when we set up Raise AI last year. When everyone else was building a wrapper over frontier LLMs, we set up to build India's first and only SLM for Capital Markets, Artham.
#Artham has been running inside financial co-pilot platform @ask_fuzz, stock screening platform @scanx_trade, and @DhanHQ for over a year, summarizing market news, reading context into price moves, and answering user queries with live data drawn straight from official sources.
Our entire Voice AI architecture has been built in-house as well. This allows us flexibility to build custom voice solutions for any of our group entities, including @Upsurge_club and @PlutoInsurance. We believe a strong partner in text-to-speech, which understand Indian voice nuances, especially "numbers" for a financial institution like ours, is key to scale this over the next few years.

More than 75% of Dhan's voice agent conversations take place in languages other than English. More than a third of Raise's voice agent calls come in outside business hours, and the voice agent handles them entirely. Raise plans to scale the partnership across other group entities as well.
