Seemingly $MAT will not be a takeover acquisition after that call. Many rumors swirled that a $20 takeover from Authentic Brands or Zuru would happen. Doesn’t even sound like they’re considering selling Barbie… They want to save it. Sell the company or sell the assets Mattel
$MAT leadership also had one of the weakest calls I’ve ever heard. This needs a hostile takeover. Honestly that’s the best thing for it at this point. Piece off and sell Barbie and Fisher Price
Thought for sure after $HAS earnings though they had great growth with MTG… That $MAT would have strong earnings. Barbie and Fisher Price are dead brands essentially. The only good piece is this makes them even more attractive as an acquisition because pieces can be sold off.
