How is the internet less private than in 2006, when the whole family shared one computer?
Back then, the internet was weird, personal, and all of ours.
So, we got your favorite meme legends back together to say it louder: What happened to the internet? 1/3

The older I get, the more I think about how just having our parents by our side can often turn a public space into a warm and safe bubble. Dozing off on a train for instance.

zeehondencentrum, the seal center that rescued many internet-viral seals like chabashira and witje, faces bankrupcy due to unexpected financial stress caused by the development of their new facility, withdrawal of government funding, and lower-than-expected visitor income

in the days before cameras this would've become a legendary local cryptid. in the 21st century we're calling it Jimothy
A unique raccoon was spotted in Seattle
A raccoon named Jimothy with a rare short spine syndrome was roaming the streets, stealing food from trash cans and frightening locals with his unusual appearance.
At first, residents were startled by the strange-looking animal, but he later became a local celebrity, with people even making memes and drawings of him.
