The Burmese military junta unleashed horrific violence against its own people—killing civilians and crushing dissent.
Ripping TPS away from those who fled that brutality and rebuilt their lives here in the U.S. is morally bankrupt.

A historic ruling by the Helsinki District Court—a Russian combatant has been sentenced to life imprisonment for killing and torturing captured Ukrainian soldiers. This is the first #RussianWarCrimes case outside Ukraine to result in a court verdict, sending a strong message that the world will not allow war criminals to escape justice.
I commend the rigorous work of Finnish prosecutors and investigators, as well as their Ukrainian colleagues, who provided crucial assistance and shared evidence to ensure a just punishment for this war criminal.
The Helsinki District Court sentenced a Russian citizen, a member of the ‘Rusich’ unit, to life imprisonment for war crimes in Ukraine. @GP_Ukraine deeply appreciates the efforts of @krp_poliisi and Finnish prosecutors who made this conviction possible.
