Tom Cruise is one of the biggest movie stars alive, but Digger proves that even his name can't save every film. Maybe Hollywood should focus more on good scripts and less on star power.

For most of my adult life, I was the person my family called whenever something went wrong financially. I wasn't particularly wealthy, but I had a stable job, saved carefully, and rarely spent money on things I didn't need.
My younger sister, however, had a completely different approach to money. She loved expensive clothes, weekend trips, restaurants, and anything that made her look successful. Whenever she ran out of money, she would call our mother, who would then call me.
I never really minded helping when it was an emergency. I paid her electricity bills twice, helped with her rent once, and even sent her money when her car broke down. But after a while, I noticed something troubling: every time I helped her, she somehow became less responsible.
She would promise to repay me, but the repayment never came. If I reminded her, she would say I was treating her like a stranger.
Then, six months ago, she called me crying.
She said she had borrowed a large amount of money from several people to start an online clothing business. Unfortunately, the business had failed, and the people who lent her the money were demanding repayment.
I asked how much she owed.
She went quiet for a moment before telling me the amount.
It was almost everything I had saved over the previous two years.
I told her I couldn't pay that much. I had my own responsibilities, and I was saving for a house deposit.
She immediately started crying harder.
"You're my brother. Who else am I supposed to turn to?"
I told her I could help her create a repayment plan, contribute a smaller amount, and speak to the people she owed. But I wasn't going to empty my savings.
She ended the call without saying goodbye.
Two days later, my mother called.
And that's when I discovered my sister had already told the entire family that I had agreed to pay her debt but was now refusing to help.

I was having dinner with my best friend and his wife when she suddenly asked me to step outside. What she accused me of nearly destroyed our friendship.
We were halfway through dinner when she put down her fork.
Her: โCan I speak to you outside for a minute?โ
Me: โMe? Did I do something?โ
Her: โPlease. I donโt want to discuss it in front of my husband.โ
I followed her outside.
The moment we reached the balcony, her expression changed.
Her: โI need you to explain something.โ
Me: โOkay. Whatโs going on?โ
Her: โWhy did you try to touch me at that party?โ
I stared at her.
Me: โWhat party?โ
Her: โDonโt pretend you donโt remember. The party at your friendโs house last month.โ
Me: โWhat are you talking about? I didnโt touch you inappropriately.โ
She folded her arms.
Her: โYou came into the guest room when I was feeling unwell. You sat beside me, started touching me, and told me you had feelings for me.โ
I was completely confused.
Me: โThatโs not what happened. You were feeling dizzy, and I helped you sit down. I even called your husband to come and check on you.โ
Her: โSo now youโre saying Iโm lying?โ
Me: โIโm saying youโre accusing me of something I never did. Why would I make advances toward my best friendโs wife?โ
She shook her head.
Her: โI donโt know what you were thinking, but I remember what happened.โ
Me: โThen tell me exactly what I supposedly did.โ
She reached into her handbag and brought out her phone.
Her: โBecause you didnโt stop there. You sent me this message the following morning.โ
She turned the screen toward me.
The message read:
Message: โI hope you enjoyed yesterday. Iโve wanted to tell you how I feel for a long time. Please donโt tell your husband.โ
My stomach dropped.
I looked at the screen again.
Me: โI never sent you this.โ
She laughed bitterly.
Her: โItโs from your number. Who else would have sent it?โ
I took a deep breath.
Then I noticed something strange about the screenshot.
The message was supposedly sent at 2:17 a.m.
But at that time, my phone had been switched off because its battery had died.
I looked at her.
Me: โSomeone is setting me up.โ

My older brother and I haven't had a good relationship since childhood.
When our parents divorced, he stayed with our father while I lived with our mother.
During those years, my father was emotionally and physically abusive toward me. My brother knew some of what was happening, but he always insisted that I exaggerated things.
He eventually moved abroad and built a successful life.
I stayed behind and spent years trying to recover from the experience.
We barely spoke after I turned eighteen.
Last month, my brother contacted me with devastating news.
Our father had been diagnosed with a serious kidney condition and needed a transplant.
My brother had already been tested but wasn't a suitable donor.
He asked whether I would consider getting tested.
I initially thought he was joking.
I reminded him that this was the same man who had made my childhood unbearable. The man who never apologized and never acknowledged what happened.
My brother said our father was old now and had suffered enough.
He told me that refusing to help would mean allowing someone to die when I might be able to save him.
I asked whether he would make the same request if the person needing the kidney were a stranger.
He said this was different because we were family.
I became angry and told him that being related to someone didn't erase what they had done.
Then he said something that stayed with me.
He said our father had spent his final years asking about me and regretted the way he treated me.
I asked why he couldn't tell me that himself.
My brother admitted that our father was too ashamed to contact me.
For several days, I couldn't sleep.
Part of me wondered whether donating a kidney would finally free me from the anger I had carried for years.
Another part felt that agreeing would send the message that my pain didn't matter as long as my father needed something from me.
I eventually agreed to speak with a transplant specialist, but I made it clear that getting tested did not mean I had agreed to donate.
My brother thanked me.
My mother, however, believes I shouldn't even consider it. She says my father had decades to make things right and only seems interested in reconciliation now because he needs help.
I don't know what I will decide if I am medically compatible.
I know I don't owe anyone an organ.
But I also know that whatever I choose will stay with me for the rest of my life.
Would you consider donating an organ to a parent who abused you, especially if they had never properly apologized?
