🚨Ronan Coughlan on his altercation with Max Dowman before his red card during Fleetwood’s victory against Arsenal: 🗣️ Ronan Coughlan: “I get sick when I see young players with so much pride and arrogance, but so little respect for the game. “We are Fleetwood, so what? We play in League Two, so what? It’s football, and we are here to compete too. Our league position doesn’t make us any less of a football club. “I saw him kick out at Neal, and it wasn’t a good one. I went over to check if Neal was okay, only for Max to lash out and say, ‘This is exactly why you are in League Two and we are Premier League champions.’ “I got angry and told him to shut up. Before I knew it, everyone had gathered around us, and the whole thing turned into a massive confrontation. “I accept responsibility for my reaction, and maybe I should have handled it better. But don’t ever think playing for Arsenal gives you the right to look down on us. “These lads work hard, sacrifice a lot and deserve respect just like everybody else. We might not have the money, facilities or superstar names, but we have pride. “And the funniest thing is that they came here as Premier League champions, expecting to beat a League Two side, yet we are the ones celebrating tonight. “Max needs to understand something: your badge might make you famous, but it doesn’t make you better than everybody else. Football has a way of humbling you.”

Finally some good news, particularly for those who by necessity have to take their lives in their hands on this death road.

City boy so soccer and not really a GAA man, but that football final was something else. Compare that to the World Cup. It was light years better. The performance, the backstory and history, the atmosphere. Unreal. Up Mayo.

Always had a soft spot for Ryan Fox having watched him beat up Ballyliffen at the Irish Open in 2018. Great @TheOpen victory.

Burger King at Corfu Airport where your Whopper has to clear through passport control to get to you! /1

Lovely island and little airport. There's one Burger King servicing passengers. It's located through security in the Schengen area of the airport. UK and Irish passengers order on the touchscreens in the non-Schengen part of the airport, having had passports checked. /2

Then you wait until a guy with the equivalent of a pizza insulated box brings your order to you having passed through passport control. Then he goes back into Schengen waiting until the next order to do it all again /end

Happy to report, 11 weeks later, I’ve successfully closed off my complaint (upheld on all grounds) against Admiral for their performance handling my care when unwell whilst away. Keep all comms & receipts, relentlessly persue what’s owed, hold them to the standards they sell ✊

Multiple calls and some nice people helping in Altnagelvin and I now have a date to kick start the rehab some 13 weeks after my issue and what will be 9 weeks after red flag referral. Spaniards had operated twice and ‘home’ within 40hrs of the 999. Which service works best?
An MI in Spain 9 weeks ago, “red flagged” 5 weeks ago to cardiology at the local hospital. No word from them, called and given the run around. Tried the private route, but needs a GP referral, but phone rings out now closed for staff training. A medical merry go round .
